@johney dayne Bear literally just used the Ifukube’s theme and added a few of his own touches to it (the chanted vocals, choir, swelling orchestra towards the end, etc.). I both see your point, and disagree at the same time. While the jury’s still out on whether or not I prefer this theme yet (need to hear it in context with the film) I applaud the fact that Tom want to pay homage to the original theme and simultaneously do his own thing. That way it can appease both the fans who wanted to hear the original Ifukube theme as well as appease his need to put his own ,creatively unique stamp on things. Though, I will say I prefer the Kong theme to this mostly due to it being wholly original and more extensive by comparison to this rather short, derivative and (like you said) static, theme.

While McCreary’s paints Godzilla in a more godlike picture, this feels like Godzilla is an unstoppable force and I love it

I loved Bear's soundtrack... listened to it everyday since the movie dropped. This isn't bad and it paints Godzilla as more of an unstoppable inevitably than Bear's deity-like theme so I can't complain

It's scary, like legit scary. Man, they're really building Godzilla up for the villain in this one. This theme absolutely does a stellar job at that. I feel like this theme is going to be a singular scene of utter devastation.

I imagine the scene goes something like this:
Godzilla approaches an Apex base in FL. He immediately unleashes his atomic breath, and obliterates basically everything. As the music dies down, Godzilla approaches a massive door. He slams it down, only to be faced with what appears to be a massive, empty hangar bay. He snarls, and turns. The music picks back up again as he slithers back into the sea.

@@legoobi-wankenobi Hasn’t been confirmed, but it is rumors and I believe it. I originally thought Godzilla was attacking humanity because I thought they were going the Kiryu route and they used Dagon and that’s why he’s attacking humanity.
But I’m seeing more rumors that they are taking a similar approach with Kevin’s head and that’s why he’s attacking because he’s hunting for Ghidorah and humanity is just in the way

I mean to be fair Akira Ifukube's music in the whole Godzilla series is an absolute masterpiece. But this theme is called Pensacola Florida which means I just think it's Godzilla's theme when you see spikes emerge from the ocean for the first time and the boats and planes are shooting at him and attacking him... The theme sounds very aquatic so it makes sense wouldn't even be surprised that we hear it in parts of Godzilla and King Kong's fight when they're fighting underwater I wholeheartedly 100% feel this isn't Godzilla's main theme or else it would say (Godzilla's Main Theme) like on all other Godzilla movie soundtracks. King Kong vs Godzilla 1962 with such a classic movie and legendary pictures knows that they have to deliver the perfect movie and they cannot make a single mistake on this movie no matter how small miniscule that mistake may be so I'm honestly not worried about the music

I love how Godzilla's theme here portrays him as a menacing and intimidating villain unlike his 2019 theme which sounds like a heroic and godly

To me, personally, this theme for Goji perfectly depicts what he's like in GvK.
The bombastic brass and percussions depicts how angered and destructive he is, while the pause with very little instrumental between the beginning and the end kind of represent how humans are feeling once Goji returns to the ocean after going on a rampage: It's over.... for now, but he's still out there and will definitely surface again, so there's always the feeling of unease.
I love how Godzilla's eyes in this poster look more human like but also manacing

Anybody complaining isn't a true Godzilla fan. This is a great blend of new and old, the beginning theme is just a complete remaster of Godzilla's old theme.

Not sure what you're trying to say because it's the exact same notes as Ifukube's theme. It's just slower and much deeper. This truly invokes a sense of dread and I friggin' love it. I've enjoyed seeing Godzilla as a "protector" in the past 2 films, but it's about time we get to see the MonserVerse Godzilla go on an absolute terrific rampage. So excited

That's my thoughts exactly! There's no way this is main theme that's why the song is called Pensacola Florida. I whole hardly think we hear this when we see Godzilla spikes emerge from the ocean for the very first time when he's destroying all the boats and the planes are shooting at him/when Godzilla is fighting King Kong in the ocean
This is actually just a variant of Godzilla's theme for the movie I guess since a somewhat different version of it played during the IGN Clip
