Hope you enjoy the new hardcore episode!! What do you think of the city project so far?? Leave a like and subscribe to support me ❤❤
You're videos are so fun to watch every week I check your channel to see if you uploaded❤
The city is so cool so far!
you should call the school " Dark Oak Science Academy" also great episode
your videos are amazing but on a bigger screen the quality just suck so please just upload the video at 4k quality
OMG FINALLY! HI, love the city, you have an extraordinary talent, and I hope to be as good a builder as you when I’m your age. Have a wonderful day!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
“What do you call a group of creepers?” The end of another hardcore world, probably.
An “explosion” of creepers haha
So true @LeighDandy
I’d say a discord server
a KABOOM
A surprise
I think Mojang said that a group of creepers is called a "sizzle" at one point. Also, your builds look awesome fWhip!
Last year for the new year they said, "We hope your survival base doesn't get blown up by a pack of creepers."
I like the idea of calling a group of creepers a "sizzle". it sounds cute!
@@kirasechelmann2285 i heard it was a bushel of creepers
What about a “blast”
@@F-18Hornet1 or maybe a "Hazard" of Creepers?
for the guild, how about a nether explorers/artificers' guild? they might be the ones providing the city with all of its nether woods for buildings, and they may have explosives stocked up for ancient debris mining. netherite may be an export of the city, the thing that made them so rich... i think it's a fun and novel idea rather than making it a simple explorers or assassins' guild :) combining artificers and nether is also a fun reference to the nether tree farm that uses tnt duping AND it may be a lore friendly explanation as to why there's a massive explosion hole through bedrock in the nether roof lol
absolutely in love with this idea!!!
(39:19) I love the name of the pickaxe being "CAREFUL... I said CAREFUL!!" on this clip of fWhip being very not-careful and falling lol
I have to say, I think creating the shapes with a single block before doing colour and detail is a very good technique for survival builders, and I'm happy you showed it off. However, since you were getting so annoyed at having to tear it all down, I would recommend snow instead of stone, since it's still very easy to get, it's a plain block so you can tell what shapes you have, and it's very easy to tear down when the time comes. Just watch the shovel durability (or just make stone shovels)
It definitely made it easier to see what you were envisioning while not really spoiling it since all the colour and detail was missing; I really liked it, and I'd love to see more of it in the future
Or just place a beacon with haste II and it's insta mine aswell
@@huffstuff9575 yeah but that leads to other blocks also being insta mine when you don't really want them to be, and having to either set up a temporary beacon every time you want to build or leave a beam in the sky kinda sucks sometimes
Doesnt snow melt though? Or is it just ice
@@ghosttiger38 fair enough
Wool! Another Minecraft CZcamsr named Looney taught me that trick.
What an incredible new addition to the city! I'm always blown away by how much work you put into your projects. You have such a talent for building environments that feel real and "lived-in". Like, I wanna rent a loft apartment in the city of Path lol. As for the potion shop, maybe you can call it the "A-pAth-ecary".
For the little barber shop red and white "pole" detail (I don't know what it's called but you know what I mean), you could change the granite wall to a red nether brick wall (21:09)
True, I watched the stream and not one person thought of that lol. Its a very forgettable family of blocks Red Nether Brick ...
Gotta say one of my favorite aspects to fWhips building is the fact he doesnt use a texture pack, making his builds feel approachable and understandable
No, he does.
@@SalamiDogyeah but it just changes minor things
14:12 I'd say my favorite parts of these kinds of videos are the tiny little decorations you add and time-lapses of the bigger chunks of building time!
You know it’s going to be a good day when there’s a new Fwhip hardcore video!
Welcome back fWhip!! I like that you're keeping more of your "bloopers" in the final edit. It feels much more personable, like you're hanging out with a friend, when you're speech isn't perfect. It should also help you with time spent re-shooting and/or editing, which is a plus!! 😊
We are back!!!!!
Seriously? Man United?
maybe not with that pfp 😂
I love the city name! I think it does what you wanted.
It stays in the Minecraft vibe, but is also unique and fits the town!
The City of Path, not a single path block in sight
@@dylankincaid7584 I mean, he uses them to block out paths!
That's gotta count, right? XD
Great name for the city.
Also in one of the wide shots at the end of the video something jumped out at me. Obviously there'll eventually be another building next to the stable, but it seems like there'll still be a sizeable gap where the terrain steeply rises. Could be the perfect place to add a road leading directly up to the Tree. There might even be room for some kind of place of pilgrimage, since the Tree is so revered.
I just love the little glimpses we get of older builds as you move around your world gathering supplies. I know you've had push back from parts of the community who feel that a central storage is necessary & efficient but I think your method is a great way of keeping the world alive. Thanks for another great video full of amazing buildings & colour palettes. I'm already looking forward to seeing them again the next time you need glow lichen!!
A new video from Fwhip always helps me to get motivated to play in my own Minecraft world again :3
Well said! It really helps to get motivated for your own singleplayer world.
Absolutely in love with how colorful all the new buildings are! That whole area feels so fun and lively, I love it! Also, this is more of a small side note, but I really enjoy how many of the silly little mistakes and mess ups have ended up in the video here- like missing the jump when putting the windows in, or walking into the wither roses. I feel like the little moments like that really add a lot of personality into the video, it’s really nice to see.
It would be epic to see some kind of branch coming out of the mega tree, which would connect to the potion shop. You could use the same magenta color to indicate the magic tree sap being used to brew the potions!
Honestly fwhip, my favorite videos are where you are having fun and enjoying the process, I know you do that all the time, but I know there's a youtube meta going around that bigger is better, and I think watching you do random builds is really cool, like the pillagar castle, or the fishing village, or the mudbrick castle. It's cool to see you do all that, I would love to see more roads, and inns, or just random wizard towers or ruins you might find in the wild, it really adds to the world. I also enjoy this alot, I love seeing the city come together and it's a beautiful thing to see. I'm just glad you haven't burnt out and keep staying with the world, you have been my favorite minecraft youtuber since I found your channel, and you'll continue to be. I hope your mental health is doing okay and that you enjoyed your time off, it's good to see you back.
An "explosion" of creepers? Love your videos!
Hi fWhip I know a lot of people probably already tell you this but, the effort and details you put in your builds and video's is incredible
For big projects like this, I'd love if there was, say, a timer in the bottom corner that says how long it took to build each building or section. Knowing how long it takes to build the whole thing sometimes is interesting, and timers for smaller sections would elevate interesting to useful. For casual players who don't have as much time, it would be awesome to know what ways of elevating our personal builds are possible within the timeframe we have to play that day/week :) I don't have any relevant experience to know if that's practical or easy or not, but if nothing else, one video like that would be amazing
Gorgeous builds as always and regardless of if this feedback is useful or doable or not, I love your videos and your builds are gorgeous!
I'm always a fan of literary references so for the guild hall I recommend "The guild of Spicers" or it could be a merchant guild or something... That's fun too, I guess.
fWhip you should build some sacred altar/ temple near the world tree as a high point/central structure in your city. Since the city is build around it, it would connect it all nicely in the lore.
a "Boom" of creepers also sounds fun
The correct term for a group of creepers is " A blast of creepers." It's actually pretty funny and ironic because of how creepers, ya know, blast. 👍
I love all the additions to the city. The Herbalist might be my favourite, deadly flowers aside. And in the moment my fingers are itching for the next download and try out a little more armourstand magic. I love how you fill the scenes with live trough all those small little details. But blocks only get you so far. So I'm really in for it to try and add a little extra with some workers and shopkeepers and so on. I totally understand why you don't do it (even now with the never datapack it's tideous), it takes so much time and fiddeling around. But still, I will try :D
The city looks incredible! I really wish I could build as good as this but I will keep practising 😂 I love how much variation you add to the different builds in the city such as a lava farm, coacoa bean farm and potion brewery. As well as this, I really like how you plan out your builds and you take breaks from certain projects to minimise your time spent in the world and also make sure you don’t burnout but by favourite project has to be the fwhip city project. I also enjoyed farm building and other terraforming builds but they do not compare to the scale of your city.
Good luck on the dragon fight!! If you're scared of dying, cover the end island in water near the exit portal and it'll help protect you from endermen and from falling if the dragon knocks you up :D
@@fWhip Tysm! I am also going to try and get a texture pack for the pumpkin blur to make sure I don’t die 😅
Love the name your chose for the city! It fits so weirdly and nicely! Cannot wait to see where we go next!
I love your build-heavy videos! I try to model (not copy) your style in some ways for my own medieval area. What I don’t see in your videos is how you get the ideas for the buildings. Why did you build a guild as opposed to an inn for example or another market, etc.
It’s crazy watching all the lives and seeing these builds and then seeing the time laps of the same builds really shows the effort into these builds. Great work FWhip!
I love the way you did this city, starting off with the stone. It was so fun watching you “color it in”!
Hey Fwhip! I’d love to see some custom nether trees if possible. Love the video as usual
brings back memeories of your original city back in your old survival world, your building has improved so much, that was the project that taught me how to build before i learnt my own style
Its allways a good day when fWhip uploads!
id call a group of creepers a malice of creepers (You know, how a group of ravens is called an unkindness)
I really like how you explain the logic behind every build. Like the sewer that supports water for the grow of the greenery. Classic fWhip! 👏🏻😊
Hi fWhip, I don't want to intrude but I think that adding something like a large communal underground warehouse connected to the gateway that you built today could be pretty cool, love the video!
love the city so far! for a couple of name suggestions for the guild: Double Dirt Guild or simply Builder's Guild
This gives me nostalgia from your minecraft survival series when you where building the big city. I find it always fun to ho back to those build videos just for nostalgia.
you have my favourite hardcore series. Much love. Keep doing these videos.
Wow Fwhip your killing it. ❤
I would love to see the sea words come to life to a project under the city as like Secret passages in areas.
I think it would make sense to have the guild be a traders/travellers guild because it's right next to an inn and the post office, as well as being relatively close to the market and a gate. Also instead of having the waterfall run into a sewer, it would be cooler to have it as an aquifer in the lore, supplying the fountains in the city.
The view of the tree from the city streets is so cool
I like the idea of a group of creepers being called a "Detonation "
You should consider making some very narrow houses in those tiny spaces between the larger builds. A lot of medieval cities had these less wealthy but still important living spaces crammed wherever they'd fit.
A shop selling Allay's? Totally not as pets, they're golems!
As a barber, I love that you added a barbershop. A cool idea would be add a barber pole for a pop of color, and would be easier to tell it’s a barbershop.
You could add more fields under the big tree to make it seem like the soil there is very fruitful because of the magic from it
It gives you more space and you have a reason for the torches/other light sources :)
Hey fwip! I adore your builds and videos, as a disabled person it would be awesome for the city to have more seating! Rn your city is lovely and walkable but not for everyone. Public seating is one of the most important things in a vibrant community space. 💛
Here's an idea for a field you don't have yet - drip leaf. With swampy surroundings, small and large drip leafs with different heights and lily pads ❤
Your designs are so unique and creative.I could watch an entire series of just you building stuff, honestly.
Just gonna mention that it’s very common for medieval cities to have some farms within the city walls, especially the sort that grow high value foods (livestock, orchards, etc.)! This helped during sieges for providing food and also reduced travel costs
Oh my gosh this is so incredibly cool, every build you add to this world brings so much life to it, I love all the little details and nooks and crannies and back alleyways and how everything interlinks and overlaps.
24:49 maybe that's a question about whether you want the person walking through your city to take notice of those stairs going down or up? Leaving them as stone makes them noticable when you're up top and makes you want to follow them downstairs, while making them brick would draw attention to them from down below and makes you want to walk up them.
Asthetics wise, I think making them into brick stairs would look the best. Maybe even making them wooden could work.
With the barber shop spinning thing, you could use a red netherbrick wall instead of a granite to make the colors seem a bit more closer!
I love your level of diversity and detail in your build, also love the amount of building in this episode
Fwip treats his shulker boxes like a bad parent. Leaving them at the school and hoping he will remember to pick them up in the evening. 😂
Switch the stone stairs to polished diorite stairs so they look newer and connect that little alley, then ask yourself, "what changed to make these stairs possible?"
I really want to see another terraforming only video now. To help with the illusion of a waterway through the city, adding some sewer/water covers along the edge of the street is a good idea. I also REALLY want see fWip’s version of an overgrown/crumbling hedge maze. I want to see how he fits it into the city and the LORE of the world.
Percy's Peculiar Potions??? Turtle Mail??? Like I saw someone else say "A-path-ecary" Not that I know but if you need any idea's for more buildings I got a bunch. Wedding hall, Church, Train station/railway, and something fun like an amusement park or if possible an escape room. I just want to let you know I have watched your journey and seen you go out of your comfort zones and you are truly amazing and you have inspired me in my Minecraft worlds. Thank you.
What I struggle the most with building villages are the variety, I always end up using the same block pallete for every house, which is not very realistic if you see a real-life villages. Every house owned by different person, and every person has different personalities, thats why the houses look different from one to the other, because each houses shows the owneres personality. And thats what I admire about fWhips build, hes able to use different build pallete for every house yet it all still looks very cohesive! I love every single build and even more when I look at them together at the same time!
the lodestone detail in the bridge was worth it
"Why do I add so many trapdoors to my builds" "Okay let's add some more trapdoors"
I think fwhip should add somewhere in the mountains a little cult site worshipping his amazing builds.
I have a playlist dedicated to this series alone because it helps me sleep and get creative in my own world. Love these videos! You should add a bee apiary with some flower fields outside it
2024 Fwhip vids let's gooooo, so excited to see how this series progresses through the year 🙇🏼♀️
i actually can’t believe i have been watching this series since the beginning, seeing everything youve built so far is CRAZY
So many screenshot-able shots for build detail ideas - when you're walking thru at the end.
These are the best fwhip videos, just hours of builds. Love it
I swear when I start watching one of your videos, I cannot stop XD My eyes stay glued to the screen meticulously watching you build until I get the "and with that my friends, ill catch you all on the Fwip side" Keep up the good work Fwip :D!
I would love to see fwhip build a museum or a aquarium
Just to challenge him
you should build a railroad. idk if thats too modern but you could make it cool
"Why do i add so many trap doors in my builds😥😥😤😤"
One second later...
"So we can put some trap doors here..."
😂😂😂
Would be cool if you expand the sever system and make some secret, underground society in there. You could maybe bring some Illagers there (with broken crossbows) and make an underground village for them. Also, I love when different buildings are connected underground, so the sever system could also connect different parts of the city.
love when the episodes are focused on building, and I also really like the unique block pallets you use!
For the guild hall, it could be cool for it to be some kind of alchemist/wizard guild since it's right next to the potion shop and could draw on the power of the world tree that's also above it! Could also just be fun to decorate the interior in that kind of weird/fun style to contrast with all the industrial builds in the city.
As always love the new episode and seeing you take a new approach using the stone to frame out the build!
I really love the vids where u build up the City of Path. You inspire me so much
when you were building out of stone as the outline for the new city section it sort of reminded me of Pompeii.
love your builds keep up the amazing work
Glad to see a build heavy video. These sorts of videos are what brought me to this channel years ago - back when you were building castle ruins on your old single player world.
Fwhip: why do I put so many trapdoors in my builds😢
Fwhip 2 seconds later: let’s add some trapdoors here and some more trapdoors to frame it!
An Herbalist is a wonderful idea! I was mostly listening while cooking, but from what I saw in between glances, this looks like a great city! I'm starting over in Minecraft today. My Millennial brain gets bored easily so I keep scrapping my other worlds, but if I do something like creating an actual city and not just a village it should keep me occupied enough to complete something. I've been learning on my own Herbalism lately so I think I want to also add an Herbalist!
It is amazing to see you working out those builds on the go.
A Group of Creepers is called a either an "aghhh...BOOM" or a "No Thank You"
I love to watch you completing the city. More city building would be amazing
Videos like this amaze me considering minecraft can get boring easily , looking forward to new videos abt this world!
Idea for a city market stall: trinkets. Could be selling things like the spyglass, copper brush, amythest crystals, hearts of the sea, maybe some pottery shards. Giving some diverosity to all those plants 🙂
If you need to fill a large space you should add a campus of different trade schools to explain how the city folk learn their crafts. You could include skills from every part of your world as people would travel to learn there and have dorms and a library and things of that nature. Also you could include small disasters like a land slide or a burnt building in repair to add a sense of realism into the city or If you don’t want to terraform that hill under the archway it can just be a landslide that blocks the path.
Great vid to start the year. Welcome back and thanks for sharing your work
I love seeing the building process, and the timelapses are good too. I like the balance of them in this video
I think it would be really cool if you could make a video on one specific build, but you could explain your thought process in depth. Love your videos!
Yay a new Fwhip video!!
THE KING IS BACK!!!! I really enjoy build episodes but I also loved it in stream when you did a mining session and would love to see that be brought into a main episode 🙌
Edit: I love the pace and content of the build-heavy videos. I also love the name Path. It’s very simple and whimsical. Maybe the post office interior could be home to books and book and quills or looms…? Trying to think about what would be in a post office in Minecraft. Unless you’re building a library later on 👀 TLDR: Love everything you do, please just keep doing you because it’s so fun and an upload makes my day!
I would love to see the entire process of building from start to end. Including where start building, how to build around the Minecraft landscapes, pre building in creative then even collecting all materials and how you do your inventory when building (which is where I struggle, I find myself going back and forth so much with what's in my inventory when I build) how you choose the pallets and the the actual building and landscaping around building. Thanks for all the hard work you put into each video! I am always inspired when watching you and the attention to detail and the effort you put into building is impeccable!
i think it should be a grove of creepers, as they are made of leaves
glad to have you back!! amazing work
Welcome back, love your videos and we'll done for taking your break. Love the vids
The pumpkin roofs are definitely Geminitay approved. lol
I do have some feedback. I remember your first survival world where you'd try a different style for each different biome. I thought the variety in style gave me a lot of inspiration and looked fabulous as well. Not that Im against mega city projects either. However my favorite build of yours was a flower village you built along a river in your original survival world which had colorful roofs and narrow alley ways. I guess a variety in scale with a ton of detail packed into tiny structures, and in build style with more colorful pallets, would be a welcome addition to the series
I absolutely love Path! You're doing an amazing job there ❤
