    Really slick set up. Have owned my 3rd gen for 23 years and still daily driving it built the way I like it. You definitely did everything right and tight.

    Probably one of the most badass, and capable builds I’ve ever seen. This is all really functional good stuff on this truck but it still looks close to OEM and low profile. Love it
    It’s builds like this that got me into the 3rd gen 4runner. My dream will be to own one like this. I don’t care about looks or lifting for looks. I love functional builds with lots of travel, clearance, and good shock tuning for high speed desert driving

    • @jvogler_art4708
      @jvogler_art4708 Před 11 měsíci +1

      I have one with stock shocks. (KYB gas ajust) which I’m told are the stiffest roughest shocks of all. It rights very stiff, there’s no way in hell it can take the abuse this thing can. And the lower ball joints are a known weak point on this truck. The total chaos a arms are boxed, have a uniball instead, and are skid plated. There’s Also the fact that he has resevoir shocks which are way less likely to overheat from abuse in highspeed desert bumps.
      The stock 4runner is great don’t get me wrong, but modified is better if you put the right mods like this one. You will blow shocks if you try to drive like he did in this video on stock shocks.
      A 2 inch suspension lift also gives this truck more travel over stock. Anything above that and you lose down travel. If I had unlimited funds I’d put beadlocked 33s with the boxed a arms and resevoir shocks on mine but that’s quite and expensive endeavor.

    Beautiful truck. If you ever wanna lose money making mine that nice let me know! Got a 97 with a 2in lift and some damage to the LCA mount that doesn’t allow it to be fully aligned, but it’s really close, only .02 or so off on alignment. I also need an engine rebuild most likely. This is all a joke, I’m saving the money to fixer up.

    The biggest thing keeping me away from your product is the fact that the fronts only come with one bump stop per side, and its already at a high price point. Everybody wants the dual like you have, but it makes no sense cost-wise to buy 2 front sets.

    • @TurnDriverSide
      @TurnDriverSide Před 10 měsíci

      I don’t see why more than one is needed, I went from stock to his bumps stops, and I noticed a giant improvement when go through a small ditch in the road or a culvert. Two seems like overkill unless you’re running aftermarket controls arms top and bottom.

    • @99yota30
      @99yota30 Před 9 měsíci

      1 per side should be plenty. Can reuse the factory one for the rear but will probably never touch it once you have the durobump installed. It makes that much of a difference

But I am also running some of the same stuff 3.5 total chaos long travel Nitto Ridge Grapplers 35s pics and videos in my profile.. I just had King triple bypass 2.5 installed in the rear outboard relocation. With two and a half inch spacers to bring the back out with the front and make room for the triple bypass shock. @@jvogler_art4708 it gets used so I think its totally appropriate level. also its stock width so the internet calls it "mid travel". building a off road vehicle is a process very few go stock to this level over night, do a little here and there until you can save up for high dollar stuff like the shocks
