    Hi, can you give me an update on the TMDZ50. Is it still performing as you expected, have you had any problems with it? Thanks, Tim

      G'day Tim, thanks for the question mate, and fair enough too, as this vid is now over a year old... 🙂 I can report that it is still running flawlessly! 👍 I don't run it turned on full time though. I would say, out of every 30 days, it runs for about 15 of them all up each month. Weekends, day trips, camping trips etc. Since I don't have a canopy, I do take it in and out of the ute each time I use it. I seriously can't fault it though, and gets down to temperature very quickly, and stays there without any issues. Being in the tray, it is exposed to the elements, and still hasn't missed a beat. When it is raining though, I do make sure the tonneau cover is covering the area where the fridge sits. A long answer I know, apologies... but if I would recommend this fridge still... absolutely! 👍 And just got total clarity, I'm not endorsed or sponsored by EvaKool in any way... although I wouldn't say no if they offered 😂 Let me know which fridge you end up going with. Cheers, Rob 😎

    That fridge is about Australian as a Chinese tourist, evakool is one of Australia's largest importer of Chinese fridges

      Hi mate, thanks for the comment 👍 The fridge itself is made overseas indeed.

      not for the infinity or the downunder fridges they are made in QLD the travemate and koolmate are chines.. But all of kings, kickass and pretty much engle, waeco..etc are all chinese made these days.. So if you want a aussie one get the infinity series or downunder series

      @@alishabab3 maybe so but the components for said fridges would be imported.
      So may be " assembled " in Australia

    4.6A rated current is rather large for a 43L fridge. This does look very nice but the cost compared to Evakool's other fridges in larger sizes begs the question as to whether it's worth it or not. Nice video though man

    • @TheWandererAUS
      @TheWandererAUS  Před 3 lety +1

      G'day Nathan, yeah the rating is a little high. For me, it was the height that works best for my Ranger tub to stay under the tonneau cover 😁 It has been flawless and hasn't missed a beat 👍 EvaKool has a great range of sizes indeed! Thanks for the comment mate, appreciate it 👍

    How did you run the " Ando" plug from battery into the tub?

      Hey mate. I have a dual Battery install vid on the channel too. No drilling it anything needed 👍

    Thanks for the review, Which fridge slide did you use for this? Do you have a ford ranger?

      Sorry just read you have a ranger, Did you consider going to 60l?

    • @TheWandererAUS
      @TheWandererAUS  Před 2 lety

      G'day Jordan! Thanks for the question mate, yeah a 2016 Ford Ranger Space Cab XLT 👍 The 60L was seriously considered when I was looking at them, but I went with the smaller one mainly because it's just me camping, so I don't need as much food etc than someone with multiple people to consider. As for a fridge slide, I actually haven't put one in... I have found just lifting the torneuu if fine for me, and reaching over the side of the tub into the fridge. It also means that I can tuck the fridge right up against the wall of the tub, giving me more room for other camping stuff and firewood etc. I find those fridge slides sit out really far in the middle of the tubs. Plus it also means I can use the whole tailgate as a table 👍 thanks again for the questions mate, glad to have you here! 👍😎 Cheers, Rob

      @@TheWandererAUS Thanks for the reply mate, I have the Ranger Wildtrak which really restricts me due to the roller shutter. Ideally I would love the 60 as they are almost identical in price but I think it may be pushing it with the height :(

    • @TheWandererAUS
      @TheWandererAUS  Před 2 lety

      @@jordanryan673 yeah not sure about the height of the 60. I do remember height being an issue for one of the ones I was looking at (probably the 60l), plus the slide adds even more height if you get one of them, which is annoying. Yeah the price point is very similar so understand the temptation.

      G'day Josh, thanks for the question mate! 👍 Wifi for this model. It has an internal little wireless router inside the unit that is on when the fridge is on. I thought it might be frustrating connecting and disconnecting to the wifi when out and about... But it's actually great, and zero hassles at all 👍😊

    • @TheWandererAUS
      @TheWandererAUS  Před 2 lety +1

      For sure mate, always make sure I get back to everyone as soon as I can 👍 - the range I find better than Bluetooth devices, that's for sure. Sitting at the campfire 10+ metres away, can still connect and adjust or check temps 😊

      @@TheWandererAUS excellent, good to hear... I've heard allot of mixed reviews about the Evakool app, I'm assuming it's maybe user error. 🤷

      @@joshobrien7708 yeah I too had heard the same kind of feedback. There is 2 apps on the app store and Google play, so I think that creates a bit of confusion for everyone. Once you get the right one (the one I show in the clip) - you shouldn't have any dramas. A hot tip tho... Have it set to remember the password... Cause the default one is a tricky one to remember 👍
