And btw this isn't just a "black gay show" or just a "black show". I LOVE Empire and I'm completely hooked! The music is beautiful, and I'm always surprised by the turn of events they always have. I can't wait until the next show... and I'll be sooooo heartbroken when the season finale is here. :-(

JloveLamar It's also not Bill Gates responsibility to help anyone either but how many people would groan and complain if he never gave back? So, yes, while technically it is definitely not Jussie's responsibility when people purposely put themselves in the spot light for money and fame they've also put themselves in a position to be looked up to. They aren't perfect yes of course but why not make positive changes if possible? You can't cherry pick the parts of fame that you want. Why not help the community he tattooed on his body if he has the platform? Seems like a no brainer. If Laverne Cox didn't admit her transition people would be wondering why she was hiding it, kinda how they're starting to wonder the same thing about Jussie's sexuality. Ms. Cox is doing some AMAZING things by the way which also weren't her responsibility. Jussie wants to march in gay pride marches but can't say a simple sentence to further bring acceptance to the gay community, to gays equally represented the media, etc.

Jussie is an ACTOR. He he not exposed himself on a reality show. There, MAYBE you could stake a claim. Here, you have none. It is not his responsibility and if he does not want to disclose his personal life, he should not have to be strung up on a cross.
I think he is out. He just doesn't want his personal life to overshadow his career. I'd rather see him in interviews than knowing half truths about his personal life in blogs. Hopefully if he ever does have a serious relationship he won't go out of his way to hide it, but I don't need him to talk about it.
