Jacques @Kustoo Slade is a guy that loves sneakers and creates CZcams videos about them as well as other things. My favorite Air Jordan 1 will be the one that started it all and that is the Black Toe colorway.

I really like the style of this video, the black and white transitions, the almost interview format, really dope!
But the Jordan 1 is such an iconic sneaker. You were able to show so many different colorways and styles, and they all still had a wow factor. Very few other Jordan silhouettes can do that.

This is storytelling from start to finish, didn't even seem like 20 min because each pair highlighted gave so much to stay locked in. Jordan 1 is my go to, my favorite and this is a great prelude to another great release of Jordan 1s this year.
Now we need more of these, especially since you're a runner. Would love this same approach with Nike runners.
You describing the changes that the Jordan 1 has made on your life and what you think about each individual colorway really makes me think more about sneakers (particularly Jordan 1s) and what they should mean to me on a deeper level than just "hey this colorway looks cool and has an interesting heritage." Really hoping I can get the money to purchase my first good, used or deadstock, pair of 1s that are meaningful to me.
This was such an amazing video. It was really cool to see what you like and I really enjoyed when you went into detail about the backstory about them and the different versions.

Your Shattered Backboards are getting "sparkly" or "glittery" because they need to be worn...you can clean them until your arm falls off but if you dont wear them they will just get worse..It happens to all that black leather from the 'period' (2015-2018)....if you wear them the chemicals used in that particular black leather wont seep to the surface...
I feel the regular Jordan 1s are very comfy. I love that soft boot feeling around your feet. Its not a Ultraboost of course not.

I have the Blue collab Mids. Way more comfortable than I expected and I absolutely love the colrs, color blocking and materials. Probably gotten more compliments out of those than any other pair of shoes my collection.

My favourite for some reason the last few years is the Allstar night vision "joker edition" is one of my favourites. Even now 7 years on they are immaculate and ones I've worn the most.

The air Jordan 1 aka the Air Jordan “hype” but they’re no doubt are such a simple, elegant & timeless model that I like in the hi top form & original colors for the most part.
I have been waiting for this video for the longest time. Nothing moves me than someone who considers sneakers as more than just a shoe. Also Jacques I respect what you do. My first "sneaker" (basketball type) was the J1 Mid Fearless Blue The Great. I'll never be a huge basketball inspired sneakerhead, but in the last year started buying a few. Trying to limit to a few highs (only have 1, J1 OW UNC), a few more mids, and even more lows. So many great shoes.

The first Jordan i bought myself was in 2001. I was in 10th grade and picked up the Retro 1+ Midnight Navy. I love the Flyknits as they are underrated and I've never worn my Frags. I'm not sure if i ever will.

Love the 1s and loved the remastered program (RIP) .... disappointed in the lack of OG colorways (it’s the 35th anniversary and the last OG colorway was 2yrs ago), dislike the synthetic/flyleather materials being used the last couple of years as they wear poorly, and lastly disappointed in Jordan brands QA of pairs in the last couple of years I’ve gotten more toeboxes that fold as versus crease - and course all of these issues come with an inflated price point sadly. Jacque think you’re right the 1 is a magical heritage piece that gets better with age it’s just a shame Gentry/JB doesn’t recognize how to honor that heritage.
Never lucky with Jordan 1’s. Hopefully I’ll score a sick pair one day.

I more or less have the same collection but decided to buy those Fearless Blue the Great Mids from this video! My biggest beaters are also probably that All Star iridescent pair. Glad I kept a second pair. They're so slept on.
Unfortunately...we out here in Australia were not “in” on the sneaker freaker air Jordan 1s in 1985...wasn’t til 1991 that I copped the air Jordan 6 ...haven’t stopped the love affair...ps...my sneakers tell a story because I wore them ...and when they serve their purpose...I frame them ( I guess that’s collecting) and recount all the stories to my children...

I just bought the bloodline 1’s because they were on sale and you know what... I don’t hate them at all and the white shoe strings make them a totally different shoe...
the Flyknits are underrated, and the Frags are grossly overrated....just my opinion

Eduard opinions, I like the Flyknits it was a different take on a classic shoe, also they crazy comfortable, they Frags are just blue black toes with a lighting blot stamp on them...nothing special other than being limited

My first pair of Jordan 1’s were the “Bloodlines” I remember they sold out when they dropped in November then randomly in January Nike restocked and they had my size! I had $200 I could spend in my account and I bought the shoe and I’ve never been happier. Obviously they’re slept on and there’s no hype and they’re not an OG but now I understand why Jordan’s are so special. I feel invincible with them, I feel like I’m able to do anything in them. They’re definitely my prize possession currently. Next cop: Shadows

You put out some good content bro but the best quality Jordan 1 pairs are the Sail 1 and the Hyper Blue 1s. I think because the SBB's 1s are so hyped is why people use those to compare, but yeah out the SBBs and those 2 put them next to each other and youll see.
