Interesting. $30,000 for 6 months comes out to $5,000 a month divided by 3 comes out to $1,667
Per person. That money per person would cover my mortgage, my energy bill, water, emergency, food, clothes, insurance and cell phone and leave me with over a hundred bucks. Interesting...... makes one think about being off the grid.👍

I shared every little expense with you so that you can adjust it to your own income and needs. You can park for free most nights, you can spend much less on food by not buying expensive food like we do, and most importantly you don't have to drive 12K miles in a bus in 6 months. Plenty of families out there doing it much cheaper.

This is why we should have Medicare 4 all in the US, l had good insurance when l was working but always had to worry about in network and going out of state. It sucked but now that I'm on Medicare it's like going to a children's hospital and everything is taken care of. Sometimes my meds cost a little but never a lot. YAY, comments are back!! At least for this one. Hopefully they stay!
This was a really good one. You answered a lot of questions I was wondering about, like health coverage. I also didn't realize the ACA was so state specific. The stuff you can learn from a youtube vid. At least you know now it's time for an upgrade on health coverage.
I think you did great for the first 6 months as newbies. Only a couple of ooops, I don't think is so bad. I think that's a pretty standard learning curve for any new adventure, no matter what it is. But man you people can eat, holy cow!! Who knew such a little body could cost that much to feed??? But like you said, you like to eat well, and that costs some bucks to do.
It also looks like your skill share time is paying off as well. Your vid quality has def improved over the course of your travels, and I think it def shows how much you've learned. Strong work on that Justin!!
Keep up the good work. Glad to hear your fam of four are all doing well. Looking forward to the next ep.

As a suggestion, AAA (American Automobile Association) do have emergency travel medical insurance coverages for an ENTIRE YEAR (about $500 per person for one year) which you pay upfront which works in EVERY STATE and IN CANADA too! I think it's called TravelGold or something similar these days. It pays doctors right away and protects you against sickness and accident wherever you go.
This multi-state coverage just needs a few small forms to fill out and some previous medical history and is a GREAT way to cover catastrophic emergency medical expenses. Blue Cross ALSO offers individual secondary medical checkup and minor medical expense plans that work in almost all states IF you stay in their nation-wide hospital and doctor networks. They can also be bought on an entire-year's basis upfront so you don't have to worry about monthly premiums. When purchased with the TravelGold plans, these combined coverages lets you cover many typical medical and dental expenses except for pregnancy which requires an extras and fairly expensive rider policy. Just remember to STAY in the urgent care and hospital networks proscribed and you are fine for coverage!
For Canadians who are interested in this type of coverage, CAA (Canadian Automobile Association) and their individual provincial groups (i.e. BCAA) have the same type of yearly TravelGold emergency medical travel insurance plans which you purchase in concert with a Blue Cross medical/dental plan for form a unified an quite inexpensive insurance system that works in BOTH Canada and the USA!
If you ALSO get the AAA or CAA road care coverages, a lot of other hotel/campground/attraction discounts are available AND many towing charges could be insured for and taken care of for a mere $100 per year plus you get those free really thick maps and attractions books which are very handy to plan your country-wide tours!
