So my little brother and I woke up early so we could watch the Skylander Academy season two that just aired on Nexflix today... We sorta kinda watched the whole thing... Almost twice... Anyway, I heard this song for the first time moments after and couldn't stop myself from making a video about the events in season two. Please don't watch the video if you want to really enjoy the show for yourself. It had me on the edge of my seat a lot of time, and my little bro too.

I like how they reversed Spyro and Cynder’s roles in their relationship though. Spyro learns more from Cynder, and they mirrored the Spyro carrying Cynder scene from the Legend of Spyro a new Beginning, except with Cynder carrying Spyro

I also enjoy how their roles in their relationship have been reversed, she’s spent more time saving him and teaching him about life than visa-versa. They also have some scenes where they are literally mirroring some of the most iconic legend series scenes, except who’s doing what is reversed. And I have the strangest feeling that Cynder is going to have to save Spyro this time.
And as much as the Legend series will always be my favorite, I’m actually happy with how Skylanders adjusted the character lore for Cynder and Malefor to represent all of their deeper messages in a new and unique way. The big message behind Cynder and Malefor in the legend series was that the beings that we call evil may not truly be evil, and really just corrupted and misunderstood. And those massages revolved around Spyro, who redeemed Cynder, and who doubted his own true nature due to how Malefor used to be just like him, but was led to become corrupted, and was betrayed by his mentors. Where Skylanders puts their own unique twist on this nature, where Cynder teaches Spyro that there is no true good or evil within a being, and how Malefor really just wants to raise his only child to be his heir, and it is Cynder’s new interpretation in Skylanders that makes her the only logical character to revert Spyro back, and it was also due to her that he eventually started to truly question wether or not Eon was truly the good guy, which then led him to try and appeal to Malefor as Cynder’s friend and as a fellow dragon rather than as an enemy. So yeah, cool stuff...
Actually, Cynder’s entire purpose in season 3 is easily revealed just by looking at how her relationship with Spyro is reflected from the legend series, which is amazing on Activision’s part, they intentionally did this, and I know it was just to throw a bunch of nods at the Legend series, and I can now actually enjoy Skylanders because it’s not trying to be a cross between the original and Legend series, and is now truly being itself. And to think of how Spyro is going to have to cope with having had hurt so many people after he turns back, and Cynder may be one of the only one who forgives him. I’d actually flip-out if they had Spyro confess his love for her at the end of season 3 after facing The Darkness with her (extra flipping if it’s in front of Malefor)
All great and amazing points about their relationship. But the one thing I do not get about Season 3 is why it took the Skylanders so damn long to finally save Cynder. I mean seriously, Eon literally said at the end of the second season that first thing they would do is rescue Spyro and then they would save Cynder from Malefor. But as soon as Spyro got back to the academy literally everyone forgot about Cynder until the end when Eon was suddenly like, "Oh shit, we completely forgot about Cynder and now we need to rescue her to find Arkus." Meanwhile I am just like, "Oh now you remember you were supposed to save Cynder. That should have been your top priority a long time ago!" Other than that, great words and thoughts about their relationship!

not gonna lie, I hate this video, the song is overused and unoriginal, it doesn't even suit Cynder that much, not to mention this is just a video composed of SA footage. It isn't even synced up with the music nicely.
