Check and replace 12-speed wireless Di2 shifter battery

- This video shows how to check the battery level on the new 12-speed wireless Di2 shift levers, the DURA-ACE ST-R9270 and the Ultegra ST-R8100.
These CR1632 batteries should last about 1.5 to 2 years, but at some point, you'll have to change them.

When the battery level indicator turns red, you've got about a month left until it runs out completely.
Changing the battery is very simple, and doesn't require you to re-pair the lever afterward.

I just bought a new Canyon with the new Shimano 12 speed dura ace group set and would like to install triathlon aerobars, with shifters on the end.
Since it's wireless, can I do this? Any third party shifter that would simply connect via bluetooth??

You can, yep! You would use the ew-ad305 to connect a junction B to the new levers, and connect the aerobar shifters to that. There's more on that here:

I just tried this and my right shifter shows a green light, my left doesn't display red or green, does that I have something defective in the shifter? Using the e-Tube app I can go into Maintenance then check battery by pressing Left and Right levers when prompted, and I get a green dot next to each item.

I have just bought new dogma F with dura ace di2 12 speed and shifters have no light indication and when im connecting to e tube there is error connecting master unit
There is an "error connecting master unit" when you do what? When you try to connect to the bike, or when you do something else?
Since it is a new bike, the easiest solution would be to ask the bike shop to fix it for you - should be warranty/service, right? ;)
I too got no light indication, but further searching told me you must hold the 2 levers simultaneously for a full 1 or 2 seconds. Then I got the light indication.
do they suggest any brand of 2032?

@@NeoPayneHK ah yeah, sorry.. I was on my way home :))). I spoke to Shimano last year and they said that 1632.is only made in a couple of factories, and that the overall quality is higher than the cr2032 variants out there.. whether or not this is true... Don't know - but they basically said that any 1632 is a good 1632 :)
