Would your testing material and practice exams help with someone taking the pilot exam in June? Or is your material strictly for the 8th edition exam?
Hey Ashley! So note that no ones has seen the pilot exam yet. With that being said it will be based off the newest material (9th edition book) the same textbook I tirelessly studied for over 200 hours… and after all the dust cleared… stood a smoking 27 pages of notes and 150 practice questions… lol, okay maybe it's not that intense, but basically, my prep material is based not only on the most up-to-date info but also the 2024 study outline which is used as a reference for the pilot exam. At the end of the day it will help but it's not tried and tested like current exam. Hope that helps☺️

Do we need a new study guide for the new/provisional exam?
Great question! There will be a pilot exam first only from June 1st-15th and once they gather the data from that (about 3 months) then they will implement the new exam starting September 10th.
But don't worry! It will still be based on the 9th edition book which my notes are taken from! Additionally, I'm committed to providing the most up-to-date content, so I will be consistently updating and tweaking the study guide with personal experience and feedback I get from you guys!

Hello, I am currently study for the exam and was told that I would be tested on the 8th edition versus the 9th edition. Do you have any knowledge on this? Thank you....
As of now and until May both editions work for studying for the current exam but it's best to use the 9th edition.
Hspa told me to study the 8 edition if I take it before may after may do the 9th edition. The laws changed that’s the difference in the books
Seems like they possibly want to sell out their stock of 8th edition textbooks before the price tanks lol

It's open now:) I closed it initially bc of the testing blackout. Then decided it's better people to have them than not, soo… I extended the duration of it that way y’all can have an edge and head start studying for when it comes back sept 10th!

Absolutely not there is 3 versions of this test for each state, I just passed my exam and others we all had different versions of the exam

What is the regular schedule as a sterile tech? how early do they work or late
depends on where you work some hospitals have 3 shifts or a 24/7 work cycle, some have 2, and if you work at a plastic surgery center or dentist office it can be 1 shift e.g. 9-5pm.
Oh My where to start? I finished this career at at technical school back in 2008, unfortunately the school is now closed. However it helped to get where I am now, currently working in the medical field, not Surgical tech. I am recently in school and hope to get my AAS in pre nursing, then to move towards a BS in allied health at Suny, but I will need some type of certification, and I came across to your video. Not sure if it will be worth it or maybe follow a different path....
I'd say continue your education as you are now to do something you're passionate about. However, SPD is a good stepping stone for medical experience and pays well, I know a lot of people who went from techs to preoperative nurses
