this set is one of the most beautiful sets in lego history
Land rover
And one of the most functional
The first attachment is the weight. Tractors use them to even the weight when you have an attachment on the rear like that log lifter.
Duh
@@whalen_007 tbh not many people know that because I probably would've said that given the point I live on a farm, but I do know that most people don't actually realize the stuff that goes into tractors and heavy equipment and stuff they just think it works
@@LS1sLegoGarage E.g. I didnt knwo that. I always assumes that those vehicles have built in weights, e.g. fueltank and engines on the rear etc.
@@LS1sLegoGarage I knew it too before because I live in a little town where almost everyone is a farmer.
When I got this set for my birthday a few years back, I stayed up till 1 am building it.
Amateurs, I have stayed up to 5am for 42098
Legend.
I stayed up from 2 pm to 8 am for the Roman colosiam
The Lego Model is the newer Version of the Claas Xerion 5000. The new Version has the Exhaust on the right side (the silver pin above the PF control). Only the "old" Xerions had the Exhaust in front of the hood!
Fabian Bobrowski yes you’re right
The Lego version doesn´t lack the real tractor´s exhaust. You just picked a picture of another model of the Xerion. There are several different versions of it!
Tom Schulte yes you're right because this is a claas xerion 5000 and the picture he shown was a 3800 and a 4000
Tom Schulte that is richt but the 5000 series is the newest
pause at 30:42...THERES 2 UPWARD FACING STUDS IN FRONT OF THE STEERING WHEEL...YOU CAN PUT A MINI FIGURE IN :D
Good point
GoldenAce57 jay
ya!!!but a little out of scale,don't you think?;D
Kade Brown honestly, not too badly
@@mayertdenbesten9020 Wut?
Thanks Sariel for these reviews. I've watched all of them over the past 6 months and you've done a fantastic job!
The front attachment is a counter balance to prevent the tractor from tipping
True!
i thought that was cool
In reality but not on the actual set because I got it and took the front bit of and nothing happened and the crane was full up and not touching the ground atall
Thank you very much for the review, i've been eyballing this set ever since i knew it was going to come, and having a proper idea of what i might buy is always appreciated.
your sets reviews are just crazy, the presentation of the entiere set, the build, and the full review of the fonctions. The music is good and the camera quality is beautiful . GG men
I'm going to buy this immediately after launch. Definitely a must have set for every serious LEGO collector!
"countryside trauma" 😂
Funny review, just makes me want the set more!
I've just ordered this, brilliant video and cannot wait any longer for the set to arrive.
Finnaly its here can wait to get my hands on it, thank you for the review
What an incredibly interesting set! It feels very modern and functional compared to any other tractors we've seen
So much for anticipation!
Great video!
The Front attachment is a weight. they usually have water in them and are used to balance tractors that have heavy attachments.
Another awesome review. Thanks for all the effort.
The attachment in the front should represent a counter-weight. This is a common attachment (often self-made with bins of concrete) for farmin vehicles.
thank you for using your own subtitles instead of youtubes
NAJLEPSZY ZESTAW EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
KUPUJE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just here as usual to compliment this soothing music.
I built a tractor once that used the RC motor to power the wheels, PTO, and pneumatics. The front axle articulated, steering was smooth, and had a F-N-R transmission. Looking back, I wish I would've used pneumatic pistons to power the wheels and mimic a hydro-static drive.
Thanks for this review too Sariel! :)
Nice! Great review as always. I noticed the cab moving in the 360 view at the start.
Great review, for a great set!! :D
Cool video!
The exhaust in the front is only at the old Xerion 3800 and Xerion 5000. The latest model has the exhaust on the right just beside the cabin.
Very beautiful CLAAS XERION tractor in lego .
Great review!
Looks like an awesome set, 1 that definitely needs power.
this set is so wonderful. definetely gonna buy it and get it motorized!!
also, great review again, hamsterman!
This is actually the highlight (the claas?) of the 2h sets for me after the Porsche hype faded. Would liked to have seen an attachment other than a crane/grabber though. Strikes me that there's a lot of technic sets with them. Oh well, here's to hoping for good attachment mocs.
Yesterday I've built the model. The exhaust is on the right side in front of the "trac vc" sticker just above the pf control pads . It's obvious it's in lego "metallic" dark gray color and the original Xerion 5000 has the same exhaust
The one at the front It's a holder for balancing weight so when it is lifting it doesn't tip
Nareszcie coś rolniczego i to w jedynym słusznym kolorze! :D
You convinced my that this one will be my 1st priority next rather than 42055. You also made me regret buying some lose parts recently from Bricklink. Now I just finished watching your 3 new Technic reviews. I have to appreciate how great your reviews are and getting even better every season. I liked most this time the new humorous Like/No like part at the end :-D Can I add to not like for this set: Lego Friends Fans :-D Now heading to watch your Volkswagens.
Thanks, enjoy :)
Hi Sariel, very good review. I'have one remark: the exhaust isn't missing. I t is on the RH side of the cab, the silber pin connector. On the picture you have shown, we see a Tier3 or Tier4 interim engine version, and the set is about a Tier 4 final engine. That's why on the LH side of the cab we have an AdBLue cap (blue) and a normal fuel cap (grey)
Nice review I agree its a great looking model. I just finished building mine and the hood is my favorite part of build it looks awesome. Is it possible to add led's to the 4 front headlights? I still have all the #2 bags still sealed. I like how it looks without the log lifter. I'll probably build the plow tonight.
This is one of the best sets lego made
Thank you for review. Almost all top marks, cool! Check last hamster footage - I think you lost sound between "hamster" and "other videos" at 33:00. this bug is also at 42055 video
i love this model (and the tires). can you make a separate Video for the tires? mabye they are good at trail trucks
The steering in this set is very interesting
best set of 2016!
nice I need one of these 😍😍😍
that thing with the exhaust the new xerion models have it in between the axes
the class is so cool
+Sariel's LEGO Workshop, the "holder" is to hold weights. They have them on almost all large farming equipment. The grey technic slabs represent weights.
The holder on the front is for adding weights for balancing the vehicle.
The best engineering technic model for this price... soon for my son.
tak długo czekałem.😉
dear sariel, im just a lego fan whos very young, I really enjoy your videos and would like yo thank you for privelaging us with these awesome reviews!
Thanks Joshua :)
+Sariel's LEGO® Workshop its an honor.
+Joshua Gardner *It's
The lime perpendicular pin and axle connector already came out in Atlantic sets
the front attachment is a counter weight to prevent it from falling over
This set + IR receiver + servo + 2 XL motors + differential + 4 shocks = nice RC off-roader.
FInally, a set of original Lego tires that look like they could handle the rough terrain.
Differentials and rough terrain?
Was thinking about locking differential ;)
wow great!!!!
You realy need to build more attachments that use the pto!
It's a great machine
looks great to me, even more interesting than 42055. can't wait to get one
This set seems to live up well to its hype! It somehow reminds me of 8110 with all the modding potential like different attachments.
I think it looks beautiful, except for the crane. I am not into tractors etc but I think this is a must buy for me.
Also, the lime green connector piece isn't new, I own several of them, they came in 8649 Nitro Menace for example.
42055 is very much aimed at the functions and that works well, if you want a realistic-looking set you should buy 42056
+Robert de Tatta Once you see 42056 next to some MOCs it really looks like a toy...
I got this set for my birthday (and yes I'm probably too old for Lego but I still love them). Tractor itself is amazingly complex and really cool, PTO-s are probably the best feature and they work like in real tractor. A few gripes: wheels aren't actually connected to anything but steering mechanism and it would be really cool it they had some gear reductors like real tractor or differentials and so on. There is no way to motorize tractors movement in any way and that also kind of sucks. Rear boom has a cool transfer mechanism but its not that useful i plan on making a hydraulic boom that would power its pump from rear PTO. It really lacks better actuators and a bit better add on equipment.
I have it, it is fantastic.
Great Modell =P
Those tyres look like excellent MOC material
Also I have always asked myself how to make a 4x4 chassis with steering and suspension in a small space. Planning on converting the MINI set into a rallycar :D
I definitely think I will get this set instead of Porsche 42056 for this christmas. This set looks really interesting and is too much cheaper!!
Sariel, I think that the technic perpendicular connector in lime green was already released in the Lego Atlantis sets.
31:07 that tractor in the photo is an old version that legi is 5000 trac vc . exhaust in the lego is in cabins right side. tractor in the photo is 4000 trac
Very nice set, not liking the crane arm though, looks really like an after thought. As for the exhaust, its on the right hand side (with the cab in forward direction) Claas updated the engine and styling last year
7 years later and I still want it lol
the lego model is well designed it looks and works like the real thing
Mi zostało dużo więcej części zapasowych, z 50, może więcej. Są też różne odcienie klocków w kolorze limo.
Wonder how the tires will perform in Truck Trial grounds.
I need that yesterday.
Notice me Sariel😀
This sure was a great set
I pray for those who missed out on it
BUT WOW DO I REGRET NOT BUYING THE BUCKET WHEEL EXCAVATOR
The front one is a counterweight for the weight of the crane so the tractor doesn't wheelie
at 18:00 there is a little bit of a stuttering, but a great review as always i love the hamster bits. keep up the great work
This is the easy favourite of the 2016 Summer Technic range; it's basically a licensed set done right and a lot better than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS set. And £120 is definitely reasonable enough by comparison. Very authentic looking and yet has tons of functions loaded on, some of which are so sophisticated and impressive. The Bucket Wheel Excavator is more impressive in size and scale but this one really beats it with its looks and many functions which it has in spades. I guess the only real disappointment is there's no real B-model of this. Might be a classic in the making though...
The real Xerion at 31:07 is the older one. The new one, like the model, has the exhaust on the right side of the cabin on the gasoline tank.
hey Sariel, can you build the Isu 152? only if you have time for It, if not, np, but i loooooove the Isu 😍
Nice number plate at 2:30 : OK 420 54MJ
Blaze it, Lego :)
wow that look so anazing
front attachment is a counter balance
I'm waiting for them to make a fully functional one like one that is all controlled from a remote I find those the most interesting and they seem to be going away from them
I was expecting you to pick the hamster up with the crane :D
great set wonderful
24:42. Those are supposed to be weight s on the front of the tracto
They missed a steering type with this one, I forgot it's name but it's a steering where the rear wheels steer, pretty sure someone could make a mod for it or something.
Hey Sariel have you considered doing Mindstorms MOCs?
I know it is rather heavy and bulky and limits the amount of motors but I have been wondering why you haven't reviewed/used it.
Thanks for reading!
The front attachment is a fake counterweight, which would be used to counteract the 'weight' or leverage of the crane and it's load
It's so in real life, the whole thing won't tip over
Did you notice that step 138 on page 322 has an error with the inset drawing? The yellow gears are drawn looking down from above the claw assembly, but the pieces that make up the framework are drawn looking up from below. I screwed up when building this. After assembling the tractor, I had an extra gear and shaft left. I found out that I had skipped over step 105 on page 68!!! I had to strip it down to get to where I could add the parts. I also had 3 of the medium gray half pins left over after building the main tractor. The parts list says there are 48 but only 46 are used in this model. Maybe there are 48 used in the 'B' model. I've come across this situation before wondering why there were extras of some pieces that are not usually supplied as extras.
I can get this and 42082 new and sealed for similar prices (this is 130€ and 42082 is 170€) which in your opinion is better? Im ln the fence about 42082 because i feel like it might have a lot of the same building process as 42009 (which I own)
Waitin' for the set. Still evailable on Ebay.
This set is sooo great. Too many possibilities for mods. While I was watching the speed build, I see how you take some time to do the steps. Were you tired of assemble almost 7000 lego pieces in such short time? :P. Indeed your contribution and dedication to Lego and for the AFOLs is amazing. Thank you :). About the set, I don't get the position of the HOG. It looks awkward and uncomfortable. Maybe a knob in the roof will be better and easy to operate? I'd think that it's possible because it won't change the direction where the wheels turns. What do you think?
I guess maybe they wanted to keep the roof smooth due to license reasons (AKA Xerion wanted so).
I dont know if I built it wrong but I can manually move the cabin and crane (it turns around by itself if I tilt it too) does this happen with all models or did I build it wrong? Could someone help me out please?
I'll buy this set once I tought to build b model but a is more complete!
Man..... Your hamsters are SOOOO cute ! I wish i could have a hamster.
Sariel your buildings are very cool I'd like to ask you to built a wood chipper to the forest of Ponsse. This machine is called the scorpion king or simply scorpion I'd asked you that you built this machine thanks !!
I think that's the highest rating I have ever seen on a review 😂
I need those tires D:
29:40 sounds like attaching a real contraption to a tractor to me, in the beginning it’s really hard but over time you get used to it. Surtenly one of the more difficult things of driving on a tractor ( knowing out of own experience )
+ The thing on the front is a counter-weight oftenly used on all tractors as far as i know.
++ Real tractors don’t have suspension.
(Sorry if my English is a bit crued but i don’t originate from an English speaking country (The Netherlands) )
this is good
I have the Volvo L350 and the Arocs
