- Norfolk Southern Railroad Trains On Tight Curves & Easing Down Steep Hill. Train Goes Under Me While On Pedestrian Bridge, Locomotives Running Long Hood Forward & 4 Track Railroad Crossing In Cincinnati. CSX Local Switching Freight Train Running Along The Ohio River Valley. These trains are at several locations in Crescent Springs, Kentucky And Cincinnati, Ohio.
4 Norfolk Southern trains and 1 CSX train in this video. Look how sharp the curves are. The train wheels really do squeal on these curves. They look like horseshoe curves to me. The first train is easing down the hill into the Ohio River valley and has a DPU mid train. That was a good one but the squealing really does hurt the ears.
I showed the pedestrian bridge up close and we see a train come around the curve and go up the hill towards Erlanger, Kentucky. This is a great place to film trains but it does get noisy. I also went a mile to the north to get two more trains near the Beechwood railroad crossing.
The third train is an intermodal train with the next stop being Gest Street Yard in Cincinnati. It is seen coming around the tight curves and going down hill. Shortly after it passed I left. On my way to Cincinnati I heard a train call out a signal on my radio so I pulled over by the tracks to get another train coming around a curve and going down the hill. Notice that both locomotives are running long hood forward and the engineer gives me a wave! Was that cool or what?!
I went across the Ohio River to the west side of Cincinnati to another awesome railroad crossing. This is a 4 track crossing with CSX and Central Railroad Of Indiana tracks. I was hoping to catch the local with a caboose. I waited for the CSX local and sure enough it ran towards customers just down the river from the crossing. On this day the local did not have the bay window caboose that I have filmed it with several times in the past. I do have some awesome videos of trains at this crossing.
Don't miss the outro with the Live Action Pets and the slide show that comes from the video.
Filmed Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!
Please thumbs up and watch another JawTooth video to help my channel.

Sounded like the DPU was in dynamic braking mode but I could be wrong. In the 60s when I was in grade school we never got sent home for severe weather. They figured we could just use the "drop and cover" nuclear preparedness routine for a tornado. They made us practice that once a week so we got really familliar with the underside of our desks. Excellent hill drama, enjoyed it much. Thanks JT!
Yes, I think it was in dynamic braking. It was at one of the steepest and curviest parts of the hill dropping down into the Ohio River valley. I remember practicing that and getting under the desks. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hey, Jaw Tooth. I miss Shoestring as much as you do. Everytime you see a car door open and ask if Shoestring is in there. I know he is for us... Have a great day. Robert
I always like the view from that bridge. Nice trains, some new box cars. I hope the bad weather stays away. Thanks JT. ❤
Me too!
Morning JT& everyone, coffee, feet up watch the video! ❤😊👍
You're the best!
Thank you for today’s video. Always interesting and informative to watch. See you on the next, Brian. 🙂🐕👍🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
More awesome trains in Ohio and Kentucky with both NS and CSX
with the sharp curves and the awesome scenery, always really nice
to see the trains on top of the bridge and of course the amazing
live action pets with Chessie, Loki, Brandi and Norfy popping up in
the videos as well as the slide show of the exciting trains and thanks again for the awesome train videos thank you Jaw Tooth.

Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in Walton, Kentucky, I like them, they're awesome, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much.
Glad you like them!
Every time I see an open Boxcar, I think of Mark(Hobo Shoestring). I made a comment on Matt Mandell's video yesterday about Mark and He told me that Mark would often talk about Jaw Tooth and his friendship with him. So Jaw Tooth, I pass this great comment on to you, That Hobo Shoestring thought fondly of you and often spoke to Matt Mandell about you. I hope this will give you a blessing and I will pass another blessing also, Have a wonderful weekend, love your videos.
It's definitely a splendid train spotting program !! Greetings from India.
Thanks for watching from India!
Thank-you for filming the sides of the crossings. The little book stand...wonderful.
Glad you enjoyed it
I always love your videos, JT! Thanks for another stellar one today. Tell all the pets HI. Be safe! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! Will do!
@@JawTooth You're quite welcome, JT!
Another awesome video, JT, and on that first train going down the hill. It had two brand new blue GATX box cars on it that hadn’t been tagged along with that yellow UP that wasn’t tagged yet, but anyway, my friend you stay safe out there and as always watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
Good morning JT hope you are well and thanks for another fantastic video have a great day and greetings from Scotland 😊
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! ✨✨✨✨✨👍
Fantastic mixed freight to start with JT! 150 or so cars and a mid-train DPU. At least 3 new box cars without graffiti. That's nearly unbelievable! That really should be the rule and not the exception. Thank you, my friend! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Hey JawTooth 👌👌
Another great video
Keep up the great work
Thanks! Will do!
Good video this morning Brian, have a good day my friend 🙏🏻
Good morning Brian from beautiful Henderson, Nevada, home of the “Rats” who once dug a bunch of rat holes in another state (not going to mention which one) and are currently getting crayons and chalk ready to graffiti any new box cars coming my way.
😬🙃🙄
Super catches JT! Great video once again!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Nice footage at bridge with Redbud trees, and power running long hood forward on local, nice video!🛤🚂
Good Morning my friend it is MRL /man I hope you are having a great Thursday thank you for the video.
Hope to see you in July 20,21 .
It will be nice to meet you when you come.
Have a great week from Neil schwerdt in west valley city Utah 😊
I really like the shot of the train from the bridge! I like the curve shots, too. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thanks for the great shots.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome and enjoying watching and enjoy the side show too Awesome Jaw Tooth 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂👍😃😎♥️
Another great job JT. Love your pets.👍🏼trains going downhill are just as cool
Nice little single toot horn salute at the beginning! That is a beautiful foot bridge and awesome location!👍
Glad you liked it!
Enjoyed the video
We must all still be affected enough to think the same thing. That open Boxcar and "Shoestring". It was my immediate thought. I know Mark is truly missed and his spirit is strong. Thank You Jaw Tooth.
First! That plain jane shirt got me discombobulated. Hopefully I can recover.
That 1993 on the identifier placards denote they carry a Flammable Liquid "N.O.S." (Not Otherwise Specified.) Some liquid that is flammable that does not have a UN number of its own.
There is a hot chicken place in that shopping center you pointed out across the pedestrian bridge that I'm dying to try out. It's a Kentucky chain, I guess.
As always, JT. Your videos rock. I don't comment on all of them but I watch them all. At least once.
Stay safe out there, Jaw Tooth. As much as I enjoy your videos, they are not worth having you blown away to the Land of Oz in a tornado!
Another great one my friend. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Again an other GREAT TRAIN video. In reality ALL of your videos are great. Also can tell it us spring time with all the Red Bud trees are in bloom.
Thanks Brian keep up te good work.
Another good intermodal JT! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Glad you like it!
Good morning I enjoyed the video👍👍
Good morning!
А интересно как эти поезда ездят в сильный дождь? Это тоже прекрасно ты едешь а во круг тебя дождь идёт. У нас эти дожди ехать не мешают ездим хорошо.
Thanks for watching!
Good Morning Brian.
Top to the mornin to yall!
Thanks for another video of Norfolk Southern trains on The Hill in Crescent Springs, Kentucky, Jaw Tooth! It is always a good video when you capture trains on The Hill. The CSX local that you caught near the intersection of River and Idaho was a bonus. This is the first time in a while that you have been at this location.
Thank you too! Yes, it has been a while since I was there. I want to get a couple of trains there soon and the caboose, I hope
Good morning Jt
Good heavens by the time the train has reached its destination it will have only just left the depot😂😂😂😂
😊😊it is so wonderful to hear and see your appreciation of the trains, bridges, the tracks.
That first train, you'd need a packed lunch waiting to cross the tracks..good place for a takeaway with delivery to your car😂😂😂and if you work online imagine the emails you could reply to.
The weight on the tracks with the double containers must be incredible.
That was so enjoyable.Thank-you so much.👍🏼
I really enjoy your videos, JT! You just make the best ones I've watched.
You know I'm always casting my vote for MORE RADAR, but I appreciate the recent times you have shot "the gun" at trains.
"Let God be the track your life runs on"
Thanks for watching my videos! I will keep using the radar and I keep it with me
Super! I don't know why but I always guess in my head how fast they're going, in the hopes you pop up the radar. Thank you so much for all the happy hours from watching your channel!!
Hamilton Ohio and Kentucky are prime train watching!
Great video
Another solid JT video - Thanks!!
Much appreciated!
Great video jawtooth!
Thanks!
The spot where that girl waked across the tracks
Amazing videos Jaw Tooth keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!
Incredible video jawtooth love this video keep it up 👍
Enjoy seeing new looking cars on that train and the dpu always cool
Hey jaw tooth awesome train location s. Lots of cool trains. I'd clean the garbage up if lived by walking bridge. Can't stand litter. Cool horn salute. Keep the videos coming son . Have a great railroad day 🚂🙋♀️
Me too. I pick up litter all the time. I always wonder who throws it out like that. Have a great railroad day Lesa!
Good one JT 👍👍👍
Great catches and awesome video
Thank you very much!
I'm sure the crews and dispatchers are thinking about the storm potential and how it will affect their trips. Rails like a snake so you can keep The Climb within reason by spreading out the grade. Just watching the first train go by and thinking back to when this line was built it's good to know people were able to invent better braking systems including the dynamic braking of the locomotive. Then think of the rain and lightning and some guys with clubs on the slippery roof trying to help stop that train. In terms of safety that part of the good old days wasn't so good
Thank You Jaw Tooth Kool trains and video! Happy Pets
way cool
Thanks!
Thank you for today’s awesome videos from some very scenic and interesting locations. As usual, awesome 👏🏾 commentary, LOVE IT! Also loved the number of “Boxcars” every consists and the “long-lead” locomotives. Wise decision to head home. That weather could turn on a moments notice. I hope you had a blessed day. Thanks again.
Glad you like them!
Great !,
Love box cars no graffiti ❤
Another terrific video. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I like this spot it's cool pace to shoot trains

@@JawTooth your welcome I like your videos on trains and other things you show were you going to shoot video today in Ohio or the other states are you go to
Really neat video! Good train salutes! Great shout out for Shoestring! Neat that you were on Idaho street!
Thanks!
Good morning 🌞 to all -India too
Good morning
The NS Pittsburgh Line in the area around the Juniata River, is so circuitous, that there is at least one place with good lighting all day long.
Good Morning Jaw Tooth.
Boa tarde🌅🐶🐶🐶🐱
Thanks for watching!
Buenas días. It's been awhile from here to see your trains. Looks like you fround an excellent location. RT sends/envía, Puebla, México.
Welcome back and I hope that you are doing great today!
Is this a re-run? Looks like we've seen this one before.
Thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on
Good video Brian
Thanks 👍
Really good video! Stay safe, areas to the south of you are going to really get hammered according to some of the radars I've seen.
Awesome goodness hehehe rathole 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
TRAINS 👍
Yes, trains, yay!
Nice Video
Thanks
16:18-16:26 YOO THAT GRAFFITI IS AMAZINGG! (Video idea: Compilation of the graffiti that amazed you while filming)
Awesome video those corners sure are sharp, I look for Shoestring on the trains as well then remember he's up there Riding the train, I see tons of trains nowadays as I work for a Train Crew transportation company, it's a great job being able to interact with the Train crews and seeing trains all over New York state. Thanks for making and sharing your Video with everyone stay safe , stay healthy and stay awesome
@RailfanBobbyFocusMk208 hey, how are you doing today.
@@LisbonRailProductionsandF1 doing well this morning, how's about you ?
@@RailfanBobbyFocusMk208 im doing good, thanks.
@@RailfanBobbyFocusMk208 your channel is amazing.
I love your videos. Plenty of train action in your area.
Jaw Tooth, you might want to check out Dreshler cross roads park in Dreshler Ohio, it looks like they are getting ready to replace the diamond again. Something you might wanna go and video. Keep taking these video's of trains, I like watching them.
HAVE YOU HAD TIME TOO WATCH ANY OF TRACKSIDE TYSON'S BEAUTIFUL VIDEO'S YET ???
I like to think boxcar doors are left open in memory of Hobo Shoestring.
I like train videos on CZcams jawtooth dou alright 👍
😊👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
Jessie sher loves her car rides how long have she been a rail fan
2 more blue GATX boxcars with no extra markings. Lol
Do you use a stabilizer on your camera?
There was another box car that wasn't tagged on this train. Cool! 😎👍 I have to wonder why you rarely see graffiti on the containers. It seems like the graffiti artists want to vandalize every other item that rolls down the rails. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Good question! I don't know but it seems like they prefer the boxcars
2:01 i saw a hopper car with a similar graffiti a couple months ago! :0
Good video Jawtooth
Thanks!
It was interesting trying to spot the cars with no graffiti on them.
Another neat little train. That's allright JT. Where is the Central Indiana Railroad based? I've never heard of them before. Not that I know everything, but I'm from Indiana and not f a military with them. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
👍👍
Again an open boxcar, hello shoestring.
I've loved trains my whole life. When I was a kid the Rutland Railroad passed on the backside of our property, and we used to run down when the train passed. The engineer and conductor would throw us candy, LOL! They were always kind to children. Watching your videos makes me that kid again. Thanks for sharing!😀
10:20 Jaw Tooth if you need to catch two trains at once the bridge is where you want to be.
Hello 👋 ❤
Hello 😊
Lots of running long nose forward. I wonder if it makes anyone get motion sickness going that fast backwards.
I’m thinking the rat hole line is between danville ky and Harriman tn.
I blinked but I think this was a 212er.
Hi Jaw & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Jaw & Friends Randy
It's awesome but sad that they don't need cabooses anymore but it's good that they can slow down a different way tho Brian.
I miss the caboose. I remember back in 1985 when I discovered that they were missing
7709 was on 2 different trains!
I didn't even notice that. You are right and the other engine 4201 is with it both times. First we see both engines taking a train up the hill and later we see both engines running long hood forward taking a train down the hill. Must have been a local coming out of Gest Street Yard in Cincinnati. Very observant!
Sorry JT, just another open door on an empty boxcar. Hobo's catching out with the Lord these days.
