This turned out *beautifully.* I haven't seen anything quite like it on CZcams or anywhere! Your aluminium foil rosettes give this piece great texture and they contrast nicely with the smooth, clean lines of the straws. My South Florida apartment is small, so I'll be placing a ho-hum mirror in the middle in the hope that it will open things up a bit. And although I'm a silver girl 99 percent of the time, I'm going for a rustic-coastal "Key West" vibe. I think warmer metals will work best, so I'll be painting mine a textured bronze or burnished gold. I also love the fact that this is not a weighty piece--easier and safer to hang. Well done; thank you for the inspiration!😊

Nice and easy piece. When I was young my grandmother taught me how to make roses out of crape paper. The paper was kind of spongy or stretchy. It was similar to your foil flowers. Thanks this brought back fond memories. ❤️

Well i think it's the size of dinner plate..
Just use a size mirror you want or have already. Draw around it, this is your center circle. Or draw around your dinner plate, then draw around mirror for inside circle. Hope this helps someone.

That is true, however keep in mind that rolled paper tends to be way heavier than the straws, but it will still work.

Oh, I was looking for an idea like this to have a mirror in the center.,so I'm thinking about putting one round of roses and put the mirror in the center of them. I wasn't able to see the measurements on the ruler so I'll just play it by ear. Great project and you did an awesome job at it !! Very inspiring!!

These are all lovely. One question, will not the paper disintegrate after a while..........
Paper! I didn't use any paper in this project, only foil and plastic straws.
However, if your question is general than yes it would, but you can prevent that by using a glue glaze for finish off.

You have a point there, however in my case it will defeat the purpose of my recycled DIY videos.
its More '"FUN" to hand make rather then "BUYING" ...Your hard work and creativity is way better than store brought items..😚

I was thinking of doing it in bronze and hot glue sunflowers in the center
if you like the recycled theme you could also make them of old teeshirt fabric which you can get free from most goodwills since they won't resell shirts that have anything wrong( small holes etc)
