In the same context wanted to reveal another fact that, Vidhu had money crunch to complete the film "Parinda", he almost stopped the working on the film, RDB inspired him to complete it, and as far as I know he didn't took his remuneration for that. Shekhar Suman should tell this fact also, because he told two stories at a time, one the creation of a unforgettable song and other is, the sad and harassing situation of the All time Great. in an improper manner.

Well let's be honest. RD was always my favourite music director and have been listening to him since early 70s. He was a super duper star in late 60s and early 70s. But by eighties he had lost his charm and by 90s it was all over for him. Like most stars he was consumed by then.
These guys are talking nonsense. No doubt r d was going bad times due to poor health. Vinod went to rd burman because it benefited him that's all. R D was a legend and needs no approval from people like shekhar or vidhu. 1942 is remembered only for its music the film was a below average one. All vidhu films after flopped big time so did his movies. Same thing with ramesh sippy his films after sagar had poor music and films flopped big time as well. So rd burman was on his own not because of these directors

His real name is Vinod. It is not his father's name. During his days at FTTI Ritwik Ghatak, his professor there, used to call him Vidhu. Out of respect towards his mentor, who was one of the greatest film makers in India too, he added Vidhu as prefix to his name.
