- Le Batu Caves, situate pochi chilometri a nord di Kuala Lumpur, sono uno dei più importanti templi induisti in Malesia e, in generale, uno dei più popolari al di fuori dell'India.
Per raggiungere la grande grotta carsica, la quale ospita diversi santuari induisti, è necessario salire la lunga scalinata composta da 272 gradini.
Il tempio è dedicato a Lord Murugan, del quale un'enorme statua (alta 43 mt.) è collocata alla base della scalinata.
The Batu Caves, located a few kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur, are one of the most important Hindu temples in Malaysia and, in general, one of the most popular outside India.
To reach the large karst cave, which houses several Hindu sanctuaries, it is necessary to climb the long stairway consisting of 272 steps.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan, of whom an enormous statue (43 meters high) is placed at the base of the stairway.

Che magnifica località, di una cultura e religione molto distanti dalla nostra ma in ogni caso molto suggestive. Impressionante l'interno della montagna, simpaticissima la scimmietta 🐒 che mangiava il cocco (anche se si è vista per poco tempo), bellissimi i colori così sgargianti .
