I think so - without checking, Sunderland played Vasas in the European Cup Winners Cup in the autumn of 1973 after they won the FA Cup in May. Sunderland won over two legs then went out to Sporting Lisbon in the next round. (I checked - we beat Vasas 2-0 and 1-0, then lost 3-2 on aggregate to Sporting (2-1 and 0-2).

It just shows you how mature some people are as if they don't have anything better to say than enjoy Accrington and Support a better team. I mean what is wrong with Accrington? They are a great team and will probably give Sunderland a good game when they go there and the loyal Sunderland supporters will still support them even if they end up in league 2 next season. I do feel for Sunderland, every league is difficult and I think league 1 will be a challenge for them. Its not quite the same but I support Leyton Orient. In season 2013-2014 we finished 3rd in league 1 and were knocking on the door to the championship. Season 2014-2015 it was a big shock but we got relegated to league 2, season 2015-2016 we finished 8th in league 2, season 2016-2017 we were hoping for a play of place to get back into league 1 but finished bottom of league 2. Last season we only finished 13th in the National league. We haven't had the best time either and Sunderland don't deserve this much stick I wouldn't wish relegation on any club because i know how it feels. Good luck in League 1 Sunderland hope you can go back up. But in the meantime, support a better team and enjoy Accrington😀.

I'm a Newcastle fan, personally, I think that the results in derbies mean fuck all because the last time we played was in 2016 and it was a draw. The fact is Newcastle are in a higher league than Sunderland. I wasn't aware that this was the case until making this video. It was the same repetitive dross. This video was essentially for a laugh and to roast myself and my own club for bit of humour, but most of the comments just happened to be shite.
The small speech at the end was always planned though, just to add fuel to the fire as I love the talk/banter/debates/arguments between rival clubs. And I still strongly stand by everything that was said in that last bit. I'm far from having an emotional breakdown?! 😂
