I was raised in Electra, Texas. Named after Eletra Waggoner. I worked in the oil field on the Waggoner Ranch. I know about the Waggoner ranch.

You don't have to call a Ranch that big by acres to make it sound bigger. Just say sections or townships. Real cowboys know what you're talking about ⛺️🍳🐎🤠

lindieann I reckon they've gotta be related. My cousin sold him on financing a car lot in Brunswick Ga.
Wayne stayed on his yacht in Jax Fl when he was around that area.
He's got to be getting close to retirement.

Waggoner's had ranches in Colorado, too! My Aunt Marjorie was invited by her relatives by those Waggoner's for a stay with the Waggoner's on their Colorado ranch!

@@laurajade9497 your post was so long ago but,
HERDA, Hereditary Equine Regional Dermal Asthenia, is an inherited (autosomal recessive) skin disease in Quarter Horses and related breeds. It causes skin lesions along the back (often under the saddle area) of affected horses. A DNA test is available to confirm diagnosis of affected animals and identify carriers.
Breeders can prevent HERDA by performing DNA testing on potential sires and dams and avoiding carrier matings. Offspring of two HERDA carriers have a 25% chance of being affected. Breeding a normal horse to a carrier will not result in an affected foal but will produce a HERDA carrier foal 50% of the time.
Sadly this was identified in horses of particular families that were closely line bred to fix type.
