  • In this video I show how you set up the Numatic George for dry vacuuming followed by a demonstration of the cleaner valeting a car. I then demonstrate how to convert George for wet cleaning and deep clean the car mats, carpet and seats using the small shampoo head.

    Ive got a george and this is how I deep clean car carpets. Vacuum first, dilute carpet soap with water in a sprayer. Spray solution onto carpets. Brush the fibers with a light stiff brush or drill brush. Then run only hot water no soap in your george or other extractor and extract the carpet. This will at least rinse out the carpet solution from the fibers, leaving no soap residue which can attract more dirt. Do many dry passes no spraying just vacuum to take out as much residual water left in the fibers. Enjoy clean carpets👍

    Hi, I have a question. I understand “Henry Wash” is a cheaper version of the George? But can I use the Henry wash for dry cleaning? If I have my own attachments from my Henry HVX200. The filter, the bags and pipe? Or is the Henry Wash strictly for wet cleaning only? Because if a Henry wash is just a George without the dry tools then I may as well save £50 and just get the Henry wash

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před rokem +2

      The Henry tools will fit a Henry wash as will the dust bag, though you can buy bigger bags to fir the Henry Wash. As long as the filter fits Henry Wash then you can convert it for dry cleaning. At the most, you may have to buy a George dry filter if the Henry one doesn’t fit.

    Just bought a George, but the hose attachment to the nose keeps coming out, the instructions are just pictures, is there meant to be a piece that threads on the outside of the nose part? This one slots in but isn't easy to do....my carpets are still quite damp, after watching your video which is brillliant and informative, I'll go over them again tomorrow to dry them some more.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před 9 měsíci

      The hose fitting is a bayonet type. The threads on the outside allow you to fit a regular screw in Numatic hose. I don’t recommend the George for carpet cleaning as it’s not very effective, but it’s great when using the small washing head.

  • @Mackeson3
    @Mackeson3 Před 7 měsíci +2

    Great tool but Numatic really dropped a ball when they did the recent "facelift" on George. While they were at it they should have replaced that next to useless carpet fishtail thingy with some sort of rotary brush like the Vax Spinscrub. I actually adapted a Vax Spinscrub head ( N.L.A. sadly!) to fit onto my Geroge and it's way better. Cleans the carpet better and sucks up the dirty water better too.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před rokem +1

      No mine does not get really hot. If a vacuum cleaner overheats and cuts out it is normally due to a restriction in the airflow causing the motor to get hot and activating the thermal cut out.

      Really good job, the colour of the extracted water says it all. I follow The Detail Geek, a Canadian car valeting specialist for weekly pressure cleaning, vacuuming and extraction action. His preferred method for extraction is to use a pump sprayer to apply chemical manually then use a cordless drill and brush to agitate quite thoroughly, then he uses the extractor with just water in it - no shampoo - to ‘rinse’ the carpets and seats, leaving as little chemical residue behind to become sticky and attract resoiling. He used to use a Bissell spot cleaner but recently upgraded to quite a substantial commercial extractor. Not suggesting our beloved Ibaisiac is doing it wrong, but I’ve used a Vax on carpets before and in my experience the resoiling means you’re stuck shampooing the carpet more regularly… I’ve seen other carpet cleaning videos and rug cleaners too, who apply shampoo, agitate with a single disc machine or counter-rotating brush machine, then just use water to rinse and an extractor to just remove water.

      @huskyvacs Před rokem

      @@robdavis5711 Professional cleaning companies will use guaranteed hygienic methods and not residential shampooers. For your average Joe, as long as you don't live like a hippopotamus, shampooing with a standard cleaner will do fine. If you just picked up a used car though or you have a filthy nasty car, then I would rather use the professional method. Also doing the pre-app with a pump sprayer and manual agitation and only using the shampooer for hot water extraction will save your shampooer tubing from rotting out anyway (the chemicals in the shampoo left sitting in the lines will chew up the rubber). Tubing can be replaced anyway, but you know, it's a couple hours of work to replace all those lines so rather not make it a frequent job.
