Makes sense they put Kate and Hunter on the cover. They both look great and are career models. But giving Gayle a cover felt like they only did it to flatter the ego of an already famous person.
It’s being real. Not everyone is skinny. Not everyone is this or that. I really find beauty in diversity as long as it’s inspiring. I’m on the petite size, but I think the plus size model and Gayle are absolutely beautiful and deserve the cover as well as Kate Upton. We really are uniquely beautiful, that’s how I see it.

Yeah but the swimsuit issue going back YEARS just like the modeling industry is about ATTRACTIVE people and the BEAUTY IDEAL. If I wanted to see average women I would go to Walmart. I don't want to look at fat chicks, I see enough of them already. Also also, the fat model SHOULD NOT BE what the "average" American woman looks like. We have an obesity EPIDEMIC. Just because a lot of people in the US are fat, lazy and gross DOESN'T mean it's ok or acceptable

I never thought of sports illustrated swimsuit magazine as a representation of women in general... It was an individual thing in itself for certain Reason or purpose.. To Show absolute beauty to the vast majority of guys.. And Not disrespecting the inner person of those women , let alone all women... But who needs separate things like this anymore?.
