I don't know what happened I followed it thru and my card has a wave in the middle. It's cute but why I cut them all the same and glued them edge to edge.. fold to fold ? I will try again
This is fantastic! Is there a way to make one of these without the Silhouette? I only have the Cricut Expression.
One of the things I realized is that with certain box card designs, a family photo might work in place the "blue" panel in back as shown in your video

+Tracee Pettee I actually printed off a snow scene like on photograph paper, to use one one of the other versions for a friend that is wishing for a white Christmas, but the weather report says it'll be too warm. It looked fantastic!! :)

I need help on cutting the shadowboxes. When I open it is only one image file - do I have to manually trace every small part and figure this out? I purchase the new nativity shadow box and it comes with no instructions nor video
No you should not need to trace anything. The SVG file includes all the cut lines you need. Are you sure you are opening the SVG file? Some computers make the SVG file look like an internet file... try opening that one in your cutting software. If you are still having issues, please email me at info@loriwhitlock.com and please include any images, machine, software info that you can.
@@loriwhitlock I see all the cut lines - but isn't multiple layers? Frustrating - there should be a video on cutting the shadowbox in multiple parts (front / back / white :( - I'll email you.
sent email - hope for clear directions - I have both the Santa near the fireplace shadowbox and the nativity which only show every single cut line on one layer not multiple layers - looking forward to a response - ugh
It looks like the last piece you put on you did it backwards the one with the tree the folded end should have been down like all the rest but you glued it with the fold going up I know this is an old video but just checking because it’s confusing
when I search the silhouette store I can only find the pop dot card, not this particular style with the extra edges for folding. I guess I could add the edge but I would not know what size to make it.

Lori, I saw that the shadow box cards are shown as 5x7. You also have frames. Do those shadow box cards fit in the frames?
I am thinking about using the nativity one as my christmas card (yes I know christmas is in two weeks) Does anyone know what the postage is on these?

What a beautiful card. I would love to make one for my friend who lost her 19 month old so to cancer a couple of years ago. He was her only child. He LOVED birds. I usually make things for her that have birds on them. I have a few questions before I purchase. 1. Can I use this with my Cricut Explore Air? 2. Can I download SVG files onto my ipad (or do i have to have to do this on my computer)? I have never downloaded or used an SVG file at all. 3. I notice concerns others have with the waving. How do I keep that from happening? And 4. I assume the papers print out in the size needed and can be adjusted, but are there any indications of where to fold the sides. I really want to try this, but don’t want to spend the money and not be able to be successful. I love not basic cards. These files are fabulous.
Hi! Thanks for dropping by! What a great friend you are to make a card for your your sweet friend. To answer your questions... 1. Yes! 2. The computer is much easier for downloading, unzipping and importing into Cricut Design Space. 3. I'll be honest, it just takes little bit of practice. Don't expect your first one to be perfect. Use a nice heavy cardstock like 100# Cover. 4. YES, there are dashed score lines that your machine will cut that you will fold on. Because you are new to SVG files with your Cricut, I recommend that you watch a video I made to help customers use my files with Cricut (it teaches you how to attach the score lines so they stay with their respective pieces): czcams.com/video/mAfS3ar1XQY/video.html. It is difficult to see the white paper against the white table top. Other than that this is cool.
this is very helpful for this particular card, but does not help with your thank you shadow box card, as the inside pieces do not have the folding sides, but rather a separate piece that has several perforations that need to be cut, ..... then what??

+tmoney Smith Hi, all of my cards can be resized, you just need to make sure you adjust all pieces evenly, to keep the proportions in line. You are only limited by the size of your mat.
I can't find this card in your store when I do a search worded exactly as you have it.
