Great video, Rocky. Red worms have always offered more success for me. I think it has to do with the wrigglyness (totally a word) of red worms compared to a severed night crawler.

Thanks for the video! Always assumed the redworm would come out on top. Nice to see a side by side comparison. Wish we had more shellcracker up here in Michigan. I've only caught a handful. We mainly have pumpkinseed. The pumpkinseed/bluegill hybrids are super fun to catch

so when you catch the fish on a bed, all the eggs get eaten

Most of the time another male shellcracker will take over the bed.
They lay thousands of eggs and that’s why there so plentiful

Depends on how the fish are reacting to it. If there real aggressive I just let it sit there inside the beds. If there little hesitate about biting I’ll move it around in a little.
