From Santiago to Marea del Portillo. Leg 2: Chivirico - Las Cuevas (carretera Granma).

Road from Santiago de Cuba to Marea del Portillo along the Sierra Maestra.Carretera Nacional N°20. The road is in poor condition, but restoration is on his way. In 2013 the road will be renovated.
The distance between Santiago de Cuba and Marea del Portillo is almost 170 km. Due to the bad condition of the road it takes almost 6 hours.
At a distance of 60 km. from Santiago de Cuba are 'Los Galeones' and 'Brisas Sierra Mar' located. It takes 2 hours to reach them.
