Single storey is non load bearing so you can use AAC.

And I think Crack is the nature of AAC block, I have worked in AAC Block Company more than 6 years, I have seen Never a single site, Where issue of crack didn't occur.
I have worked along more than 250+ sites
I will never recommend any one to use in Residential homes, as the season changes definitely you will see huge number of cracks. It is good for old building or commercial building

अरे भाई मैने प्लास्टर बाहरसे कीया बस ब्लोक पर.अंदर से सिर्फ पुट्टी कर दी.4 साल हो गए कोई क्रैक नही.खर्चा बच गया.फीनीशींग ला जवाब आई.कलर कम लगा

AAC blocks have tendency to crack inspite of taking all precautions. I would like to suggest not to use this.
Have you taken all the below steps
1. Never cure after installing.
2. Never soak in water before installation
3. Never use cement motar and only use adhesive.
4. Put a beam after 4 feet high.
5. At the top of the slab beam use thermocol or any soft insulation to fill the gaps not using cement motar.
If you follow this then it is very unlikely to get cracks, unless it's manufacturing defect, which tends to be invisible at first but expands gradually overtime.
