Goosebumps, how this ties the entire album into a beautiful bow. I just can't get over how haunting this message to God is. And how it plays out in the "When I Get Home" film, the final shot of the dreams she imagined finally manifest into beautiful blackness. The dream she had was for our entire race, appearing in this constellation of black beauty, the man became the light we were taking on, evidence of God's existence through us and personified in a newly inhabited vessel. This is a sheer masterpiece.

This *always* gives me chills, the way it's been coordinated to finish the album in a single loop, "Taking on the Light". Solange is a divine architect.
Being that this was the last song on the album... it was perfectly tuned for that. As she now begins to sing “Taking on THE LIGHT” instead of “Taking on the LIE” I cant articulate it perfectly like she does but she has shown how successful black people have become all through out the album, and now they are shining in the light.

Songs one-eighteen done and my favs are My Skin My Logo., Sound of Rain, I'm a Witness and Jerrod. But you have to listen without skipping because all the songs play into each other like telling a story. I love albums that do that. Not to many do that anymore include interludes to tell the story in between songs. Peace Love and Light to Solo Star.

soooo i just listened to the entire album and heres my honest review: i LOVED IT, but im not OBSESSED with it like how i was with her "Seat at the Table" album. This album has about 3 HITS on it vs her last album, every single song was a whole BOP!! This album is more of a mood vs her last album which was a whole journey. Over all solange did her thang. it's different for sure. Some songs so sound the same but i love how each song flows into each other. This album is a VIBE. Seat at the table was a MASTERPIECE.
