    The killer here is that not all answers that fit ARE the answer (Example: Both Vermont & North Dakota are in-between NY and Washington spelling wise, but they both can't be there) so it's not just coming up with correct logical answers, but narrowing them down. Watching the boys contend with this has been fantastic.

    • @JustOneAsbesto
      @JustOneAsbesto Před rokem +7

      I watched pretty carefully, and I'm PRETTY sure it's 100% deterministic. You maybe need multiple clues for certain squares, but to use that one as an example, the clues about both Dakotas being in the same column, everything in row 1 bordering Canada, and row 1 being in reverse alphabetical order, tells you that that one HAD to be North Dakota.
      Vermont doesn't work, unless they changed the name to Vermont Dakota without anyone noticing.

    • @kevins6800
      @kevins6800 Před rokem +2

      Ohio doesn't border Lake Michigan. So that clue was a lock. They had that one early on. It would have unlocked Vermont with the Capital. So Vermont would have been off the board so it could only be North Dakota.

    • @ItsGamingFancy
      @ItsGamingFancy Před 11 měsíci

      @@JustOneAsbestoAt the point where they guessed Vermont I don't think they had enough information to know for sure it was North Dakota. The Dakotas could have been anywhere on column B. They needed to figure out the Indiana one first to eliminate Vermont. They just kind of guessed it without remembering North Dakota. This is 100% deterministic though. No guessing needed

    • @justinbrenner9757
      @justinbrenner9757 Před 10 měsíci

    • @Jeremy-The-Bullfrog
      @Jeremy-The-Bullfrog Před 9 měsíci

      Yes it did. Sharing a diagonal means on the same diagonal line. F2(Mass), E3, D4, C5(Illinois) is a diagonal.

    • @Jeremy-The-Bullfrog
      @Jeremy-The-Bullfrog Před 9 měsíci

      I think Jimmy thought that it meant they have a space immediately bordering diagonally that is shared. Which would mean he thought Mass was in A3, A5, C3, (all border B4) E3, or E5 (border D4). Obviously he is wrong, and I was yelling at him through the screen.

  • @deepowls
    @deepowls Před rokem +6

    Michigan not only borders Canada, but Detriot is famously directly *north* of Windsor, Ontario.
    That was irrelevant as Michigan was already on the board.
    It also amused me that Jomboy thought that New York was the most populous state. That suggests he doesn't pay attention to presidential elections and the Electoral College. California has almost exactly twice the population of New York. Texas is more than 50% more populous. New York was 3rd for the 2010 Census, but Florida has since opened a 2.5 million person gap on them.

    And "All states that start with the word 'New' are in this quiz." You already had New Hampshire and New Jersey, which only leaves New Mexico for B5.
