Aaaah, I remember losing my voice over Ole's goal, like it was yesterday. That boy surely couldn't stand extra time back then... GET IN!!! Happy times...
Manchester United at the peak of their powers, Liverpool then were where United are now. But listen to the noise when Owen nets for Liverpool, and that's from the away supporters at Old Trafford. Liverpool fans are the best in terms of support and atmosphere, there is passionate and then there is Liverpool fan. 😃
I was at that game and for 80min's I felt terrible thinking we where not going to get a goal then 2 goals in the last few mins the place went mental . What a feeling 😅 to get win
I remembered the game. It went from 'damn, we are out' to 'replay, there is hope (Anfield was a place where we slaughtered Liverpool back then) to 'Yes!! Yes!! Yes!!' Those were the good old days......
One of several games that United dropped fortunate with in this treble season. Juventus away, and the final being the others. Sometimes you need that bit of luck to achieve something like United did this season.
I watched this in a Hotel in Galway City ( Flannerys ) I was finishing up my pint and hoping the catch a late bus to Carroroe , Connemara and I’m great form .. And then the two Utd goals !!! What a shite journey I had to Connemara 3 hour journey ! Funny how things like sport and music have a vivid memory of looking back !!
I can’t stand this commentary - can anyone explain why Martin tyler consistently re- records his own commentary for games he already commentated on live? It’s perverse it feels like re-writing history.
@@kebabremover6024 no definitely not. The game was live on sky sports and has some memorable commentary moments from Martin Tyler - unforgettable particularly when Solskjaer scored the winner. This is some odd re-commentating maybe for the foreign market because Sky own the original commentary. It is however awful and Tyler shouldn’t be doing it. He’s done it on loads of old arsenal games too where he originally commentated for Sky. It ruins some beautiful and highly spontaneous commentary moments.
@@kebabremover6024 I was watching it on tv as an absolutely transfixed and obsessed United fan as an 11 year old - so naturally I can rememebr the commentary like the back of my hand!

And here we are again. Man Utd v Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Also, 0-1 win Charlton away. The semi final against Arsenal with Giggsy's wonder goal and Schmeichel's penalty save from Bergkamp.
@mm43501 You have a point. But you need the rub of the green at times.
1:30 Yorkie's collar up like King Eric

David James lost Liverpool A League and At Least Two FA Cups...

@@The-Great-Brindian 1996 final 1999 4th ro round.
The ears on that Liverpool fan
Good days....
The better you are, the luckier you get. The Treble Winners were the luckiest. Why? Because they were, and still are, the best.
That was the luckiest/unluckiest shot ever by Keane
Not third round that was boro

He didnt commentate on this originally this game was live on bbc 1 at the time he has just done over it which is weird

@@jimmymichael7901 very strange! The original sounds more passionate. Well I bet you where very happy that day I was in the bastard away end 🙈🤣

Terrible marking for that Owen header.
