Batman: Arkham Knight is a 2015 action-adventure game developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Based on the DC Comics superhero Batman, it is the successor to the 2013 video game Batman: Arkham Origins, and the fourth main installment in the Batman: Arkham series. Written by Sefton Hill, Ian Ball and Martin Lancaster, Arkham Knight is inspired by the long-running comic book mythos. Set nine months after the events of 2011's Batman: Arkham City, the game's main storyline follows Batman as he confronts Scarecrow, who has launched an attack on Gotham City, causing a citywide evacuation. Scarecrow, with the help of the mysterious Arkham Knight, is also able to unite Batman's greatest foes in an attempt to finally destroy Batman.
The game is presented from a third-person perspective, with a primary focus on Batman's melee combat, stealth abilities, detective skills, and gadgets. Batman can freely move around the open world of Gotham City, interacting with characters and undertaking missions, and unlocking new areas by progressing through the main story or obtaining new equipment. The player is able to complete side missions away from the main story to unlock additional content and collectible items. Combat focuses on chaining attacks together against numerous foes while avoiding damage, while stealth allows Batman to conceal himself around an area, using gadgets and the environment to silently eliminate enemies. Arkham Knight introduces the Batmobile as a playable vehicle, which is used for transportation, puzzle solving and combat.

This is probably the canon version of how batman fights in the game since he's a genius stragetist that aims to be a boogyman figure.
@Better Late than never to be fair in comics he is showcased as even smarter than luthor by making luthor unintentionally admit batman is smarter which shows how smart batman in the comics is if batman would be so smart there would hardly be any storyline because writers want to bring in a strong female character that needs to save him.

@Better Late than never The Dark Knight did it incredibly well, though. Lau's abduction in Honk Kong and the multiple hostage rescue at the ending were great moments.
@@Squalla1 yes but the dark knight movie had a batman dumber than pattinson's. this is by far the worst version of bale's batman compared to batman begins and rises because of how stupid he was i know its almost impossible to predict what a madman can do but what about dent? did he seriously not think about making sure dent is safe after finding out about the corrouption among the police? there is also the fact that he never made his own equitment he even stole some army weapons that should be easily regonized and traced by them.then there is the fact that he fights like a boxer and not an actual martial artist etc.... this batman is not realistic because someone so stupid can't survive for so long.
@@thephoenix4093 Well, no Batman is realistic, period. Nolan's movies had plenty of very stupid moments, and his Joker was almost tiresome in how he had control of absolutely everything the entire time-no intelligence can keep up with a character that isn't just unpredictable, but basically has the blueprints for the plot and can get any plan and scheme done without fail. Even his capture was planned, and that level of complexity simply feels written.
Then Dent's transformation was hilariously hurried. And Gordon sending the entire police force into the sewers in Rises? One of the dumbest plot points I've ever seen.
Also Bale's Bruce didn't steal equipment from the military-he used prototypes that his own company made, although that would indeed have eventually traced back to Wayne Enterprises and probably Lucius at the very least.
But that Batman did plan and was very meticulous. He did stragegize. Dumber than Pattinson's? Well, I suppose Pattinson solved some puzzles…?
Having the Golden 240% batsuit already speaks volume on how much determination and time this guy spends on the game.
All you have to do is 100% the game on new game and new game plus. It’s not determination unless you count getting riddler trophies as determination lol

@@EonStormcrow I don’t think those are necessarily hacking on some of them. I think it’s more manipulation of the rules. If I remember correctly they could turn on destroy last place and just make sure you’re in first in a race with one other person and you win incredibly quickly.

EDIT: Additionally, take note that the time is for less than a second. Those are some crappy rules if you can lose as soon as the race begins.

In comparison to how I played the entire series. I like to just be a jerk and constantly annoy the enemies in these stealth sections. Stealth tends to bring my sadistic/trolling side out.
Honestly I find it awesome that both ways are completely fine to play lol, it's fun when you can tackle things so differently.
I used to try to do the whole throwing batarangs near enemies til they get super spooked lol.
I Like to Pick each one-off Right & Out in the Open then Play Mind Games with the Last Enemy,(Throw a Batarang at a Piece of Equipment), All to Make their Heart-Rate Increase Gradually, I like to Play with my Enemy and ruffle their feathers than Strike!.
@@Frosty98206 lol I used to do invert takedowns and then throw a batarang at the rope, dropping the guy on his head. If I remember right, by doing that I think let's the other enemies wake him back up, all for me to do it again!!!
Hiding in the floor grate, Two-Face is my last to takedown. Instead I hack the escalators and watch him roll down it knocking himself out.. meanwhile I’m rolling on the floor because it’s just so funny to watch.

This game is a masterpiece. Perfect version of Batman.
Arkham City was more in line with “masterpiece”. Knight on the other hand had several problems that disqualifies it fir that title.

If Gotham Knights can be half as entertaining as this 2 minute video, I’ll buy the game on day one.
Just so you don't have a different expectation and then dislike it because it doesn't match up, Gotham Knights isn't supposed to be in the Arkham universe and isn't made by the same people.
Rocksteady, the company that made the Arkham series, is currently working on the Suicide Squad game, so you may want to keep an eye out for that instead.
Gotham Knights is, imo, more like a beat-em-up/ Assassin's Creed game that can be played Co-op. Growing up on the old TMNT games that were more beat-em-up, I'm pretty excited nonetheless.
Just wanted to give you a heads-up, similar to if you're expecting water and get soda, if you go in expecting something else, then you'll have a negative reaction no matter how good or bad it is.

@@oleguzumaki Open-world that you traverse and can randomly find things to fight, and the combat is a bit slower, not such a free flow, both in stealth and melee, taking on 10+ enemies is very different from AC, to Arkham where it's very easily doable.
I'm using it for those similarities, I never said it was an exact replica lol. I'm sorry they don't, or rather haven't shown at least, the infamous "follow" missions, if that's what you were worried about.
@Rui Kagami Yeah! I only found out a few months ago, I had completely wrote it off too. Unfortunately it got delayed, but for me at least, I'd rather it come out when the game is actually ready rather than releasing it "on time" overworking employees and still with plenty of bugs.

@Alex Rosen Archive Well atleast we will have Suicide Squad by Rocksteady coming our way that they confirmed it is a sequel to Knight,im also don't like Gotham Knights that much because the combat remind me of Marvel Avengers by Crystal Dynamics,nothing wrong but just a little cartoony and clunky,it doesn't even feels like Origins tbh. Gotham Knights isn't that bad but if i have to buy one i would buy Suicide Squad in a heartbeat.
@Alex Rosen Archive I actually loved origins, and to be honest even if it wasn’t the best Arkham game, it was still An amazing game on its own. Furthermore I think determining the quality of a product by the same company that made a different product years ago is a bad idea.

If you dont compare it to the future games its great besides the joker bossfight but now since all arkham games have released its easy to see where it fell flat

Cool. I can't say I've played too much Arkham Knight (yet). After playing Arkham Asylum and City though, whenever I saw a grate IRL, I had the urge to rip it off the wall and climb inside.
When you play one an only favorite game long enough you started to know everything like a back of your hand. Seriously, is kinda amazing what people could do. 👍😆

Well it's a great game, everybody should have this suit but personnaly I don't even like it, I never put it on. It's the same from the start, the only difference is the yellow emblem and I would have prefered something different, it was disappointing.
