    I don't know why but I love fantasy foodstuffs like this. I wish it'd get more attention considering how the space marines must been a significantly different diet to maintain all their wacky bodily abilities. Unless they really do only have the two things, hopefully in multiple flavors. If they don't Slaanesh should really have more space marines than anyone else.

    Glorious piece of lore! Thanks GDN, an excellent job as always.
    Sacra/sakra is a reference to the Czech swear word used frequently in pubs of Prague.
    Also I'm curious about Astartes diet. I know that for the duration of their training and growth- the space marines are given rations with high level of glucose fluids. And then they switch to amino porridge and such.
    If anyone knows anything more- let me know

    • @GrimDarkNarrator
      @GrimDarkNarrator  Před 6 lety +1

      If I find any detail on that, I'll bring it up in a future Astartes video.

    • @Fridelain
      @Fridelain Před 4 měsíci

      Some chapters eat only utra-loaf and amino porridge, others eschew that for "real food".
      Their special anti-toxin organ makes them immune to alcohol, so some chapters make use of a drink they developed that kills regulars humans who take one small sip on the spot, because that's what it takes to get them tipsy.
      They are known to improvise field rations when cut off from a supply chain. Things like eating the orks they've killed. Even wood and rocks. Once again, they're built different.
      They also can eat human and xenos brains to gain their memories (intel).

    Thats a great lore! Very helpfull in all directions. Thanks for it. Be safe and healthy

  • @RaisedbyaWildPackofCigarettes

    I love cheroots. They can be anything rolled in a haggard manner, and smoked like a cigar. The Titanicus novel features a cheroot-puffing PDF member, and I really took a deeper look into the rabbit hole from there. 40K has tons of things to imbibe in, but I'm sure you've already made a video about it. If not, by all means please do. Happy New Year
