Snetterton 300 Track Day 2012 - Fast Group Action (GoPro HD Hero 2 Wide Angle) 2005 Yamaha YZF-R1

- This is footage from the Snetterton 300 Race Circuit. It's my first time at the circuit and it's the third session of the day in the advanced group. Conditions were great and it was an awesome day! All footage shot from a GoPro HD Hero 2 in 1080p wide angle frame, mounted on the front of my road legal Yamaha R1. The first section I'm just warming up the tires, then it cuts to the first hot lap of the session. Sadly, at this point in the day my tires had gone off because they were such a soft compound, but earlier in the day my lap times had been a little over 2 minutes. Times here are typically about 2m10s per lap. Tires used were scrubbed Pirelli Supercorsa's, SC1 rear and SC2 front. Thankfully the bike was still in one piece at the end of the day!

I was on a blue and black R1 as well. White leathers. There are a few photo's at the end of this video of me on the bike, just scroll to the end. It was an awesome day, just needed better tyres. Can't wait to go back. Keep it shiny side up mate!
I used the mount that the camera was attached to in the box when I opened it, and attached a sticky pad to the front of the bike above the headlight. And to prevent the vibration noise, I used the white rubber dampener and a bit of cotton wool in the mount connection. Have faith in the mounts. They will not come off once stuck, and as you can see, doing 170mph down the back straight at Snetterton doesn't effect it. All the best, it's an awesome camera!
Knew it was going to be a good vid by the song choice at the beginning! Haha. Awesome vid mate. Just booked my first tracker at Snet. Hopefully weather will be much the same as your day. Will be using this vid to learn the track.

It took 4 hours for this video to upload! I was surprised as well, but I guess that's the case when the files are so large. And if the internet connection is not great then it would take even longer. This file was 1.47 GB. The editing software I used was Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0. The editing itself took a while as I am new to the software and had to get used to using it. It's great software though and I would recommend it. I think it's about £35 on Amazon.
Really cool vid. The longest straight in the UK demolished in about 2 seconds haha. I'm only on a 600 steelie would love thou one day.

That's very good. 2m4s isn't far off BSB Superstock 1000 times. Would love to go back and attempt it again with new rubber now that I know the track, but it's a bit of a long way for me to travel.
Great video. I have the HD Hero 2 aswell. Really impressed with the video it produces but can you give me some tips on how you uploaded it to CZcams and edited it? I tried to upload before but it said it would be about 3 days. Any help would be great!.

Bsb Superstock 1000 boys are low 50's round snet. 2;04 is a good td time round there for sure.
Also just bought the same camera, how have you mounted it? I'll test its boundaries beforehand if i can, just thinking 160mph and thing is gonna go flying!
