What is AWS IoT?

- Although things, Internet, and connectivity are the three core components of IoT, the value is in closing the gap between the physical and digital world in self-reinforcing and self-improving systems. Learn more at - amzn.to/2noMRSK.
If you knew the state of every thing in the world, and could reason on top of the data: What problems would you solve?
To help you answer that question and extract the value from your connected devices, AWS has built IoT specific services. Learn more about them and the problems customers are solving with AWS IoT.
"Alexa, turn on warehouse lights" - worker. Alexa, "Sorry, Hal. Your bill did not get paid for AWS services, so we are unable to turn on your light switch. You will have to manually do it."
Very impressive 👍🏻👍🏻
Very Inspiring :)
I would like to know how to enable/disable the IoT device using API ? From AWS documents, I could not find one. Please help me.

This sounds awesome, so regular people can make devices.
Actually it sounds terrible. Chinese randomly rebooting my light switches and fucking with my generators sounds like a GREAT idea!
Haha, good point pinkeye00, you're right.
Where can I get the Performance benchmarks of AWS IoT service?

Awesome !!
How can I connect my own webstie that can analyze and control my AWS IoT devices?
trough lambdas and serverless
use apis
This is not a cloud, this is a new universe, which is being create step by step with IA , ML and woman and men intelligence, by AWS, I love it!!!
great
I work in iot... AWS make it so difficult to register a CA certifate. Much easier with Google Iot core. Aws also lacks real support.
yes, little difficult, but after using it many times you get easy.
What the tech man boy meme around you here is that a big boom in your car?
I was actually looking to get hired, I am a programmer.
No reply ... ha
@TheHumanBeingofEarth hahahhaa
@TheHumanBeingofEarth You are a twat.
Did I get the job?
@TheHumanBeingofEarth When you are in the brink of life and death in agony and pain, desperatley searching for a way out of the burden that is life ..... I will pull the plug for you. See you monday!
Jeez. What a overkill. Dude amazon, please understand the number of people who are able to build iot devices in today's world by using either an arduino or a pi(people with no tech background can do it ) and then consider all the tech jargon you are throwing at people. Instead of talking about wtf your platform can do technically(no one cares really) just give a real world example of how one of your functions can help in a real problem.
Lol, it's only complex at first. They're providing pretty much anything you need to build, secure, connect, and manage tons of devices, and they help you analyze all the data you generate. Basically, think of what you'd need for iot devices and they provide it, lol. It's pretty impressive. There's a reason why their stock is killing it, lol.
If you're only working on a pi or two you might not need this, though. It seems really cool, but it kind of feels like overkill.
@mehmehmeh - I think AWS is for scale and simplified abstractions. For example - managing thousands of devices at dozens of sites.

@@andyd568 "scale" ..most IOT stuff isn't for masses, so it doesn't need that kind of scaling. I mean how many people other than you would need access to your shit bowl or your main door?
Blah.
