17:19 "General-Lord wounded" - proof that Legend is actually a Skaven, yes-yes
Mike Bloomfield No-no ! Human-things found out ! Quick-quick, send the Eshin killers-assassins !
Legend being a rat-man *would* explain his love of cheese..
How do you move units like in 2:39 (Keys) i just bought the game so im kinda new, love it tho
@@andy4455 Select any number of units and hold alt then drag to keep them in formation. Hold ctrl while doing it to rotate them

What are you talking about? Saving Disaster Battles/Campaigns is the best thing of this channel. Should do MORE of them, but a variety of the Total War games if possible.
You learn a lot from the (cheesy) tactics from them.
Saving disaster campaigns > battles. Thats what hes trying to say
Disaster campaigns are interesting because they're usually particularly fucked. Disaster battles are kind of boring, feel like less is at stake, and seem really easy for legend to do.
I agree I like them just need more variety, however he said in one of his recent videos and streams that the analytics were really bad for most videos that weren't warhammer so idk
He uses the stats to judge what works.
i think people were just excited for the charity stream and thats why the last few didnt do so well.
a variety of cheese is always good
This ple-pleas the great horned one. YES-YES
Yes, Lord Skrolk. Eat them we must must.
Filthy rat
Get out of our holes dirty Thorgoratki.
*Burn* kill burn-burn *all* human-things!
What ware am I, i doint re member any ware in the Imperium like this
XENOS KILL THEM
Imagine emerging from one's eternal slumber as a magical Pharaoh, reviving the bronze- age legions, and then finding out that a bunch of rats have progressed to World War One tech.
Tbf they were contemporaries of Nagash and the last human Nehekarans
you really should make a "How to use the Army"
It goes over strengths, weaknesses, early mid and late game roster mix ups.
most people on steam/reddit don't know what the hell they're talking about.
Great idea, I'd watch that.
zerkovich did that
@@alfonsocyrusjoshua9551 His was geared for MP not campaign
This battle truly was insane. And battles that last around 20 minutes so far are my favorites. The 1 hour long battles are good, but it's just too long to sit through sometimes. This was perfect.
I agree. The hour long ones are generally him dicking the enemy around for most of the battle trying to gain an advantage, not that interesting.
@@rovers141 just skip ahead. you're in charge of what you watch.
that ending had me on the edge of my seat... makes me want to give warpfire throwers another chance
Slyzors all flamethrower units are buffed in latest patch, you definitely should give them a chance, they are better anti armor close range than any gunpowder unit.
@@manhphuc4335 agreed, but any time i could run one of those, I feel like I'm better off with a ratling gun instead...
Death Globadiers are easier to manage and make more damage
@@manhphuc4335 What changed? I dug through patch notes and found nothing.
Tleps Sdrawkcab if you can‘t find it in the notes i suggest you sift through either indy pride, turin or any of the multiplayer side of the game videos, i think i remember one of them showcase the new warpfire thrower just demolishing chaos warriors, but if you can‘t then you just look into the unit ingo, all fire throwers unit now have ridiculous explosive armor piercing damage, though their base damage is no different.
Personally I can watch disaster battles all day, definitely my favourite content format on the channel.
Skaven when outnumbered at almost 3 to 1.
Luckily, this game has the power without the *dubious* reliability of skryre technology.
well yeah except 1000 rats is like the size of 1 small skavenslave cohort in the lore so it balances out but yeah
"Sir-sire They out-overnumber us three to-to one"
"Then it's an even-fair fight-fight"
Apart from thrones of bretania which is a period in history with pretty small armies, all total wars have a smaller unit size. In rome 1 a cohort had 40 men, vs the historical 200. In 3K, you can reasonably have like 2000 men in an army, but the historical yellow turbans had over 300.000 soldiers around China, and they lost. Cao Cao boasted a force of 200.000 men when in reality it was probably closer to 80.000, bit that's still much more than is reasonable for total war
Thank you-you for saving my children yes-yes
Why? So you can eat them later? You are not fooling anyone horned one!
Not bored of them at all ! It's really good to see how you control and extract us players from our campaign disasters ! Good work on the 24 hour stream Legend.
Let’s be honest, that “Skitter then leap!!” at 18:23 right before the main Vermintide melody is orgasmic to any true Skaven fan
Dont stop Disaster battles! Only reason i subscribe. For someone who doesn't have time to watch a full campaign the tactics you show in disaster battles are short and informative!
From a tactical point of view, most interesting battle of all of them so far!
This is why you always want a warlock engineer even if you bring a master engineer, the buffs they give to ranged are so important, and for some of the skaven weapon teams that 10% speed buff can turn a weapon team into a skirmisher unit.
This was such an epic battle. Really moments like these is what makes Total War games for me. You have to think about tactics and constantly manage every aspect of your army, but only thing that is on your mind is "this looks fucking badass".
I literally am only subscribed because of disaster battles, and they're the thing I almost always click on, compared to the other stuff.
I don't have the time for the full campaigns or desire to watch the streams.
Disaster battles are good content
I learned something extremely useful that I didnt know about Warhammer 2 from your video today (just got it from a friend). Playing as the skaven and that checkerboard formation idea is going to abuse that into oblivion in fights. I always enjoy your videos because I learn and improve my tactics. Keep up the great work Legend!
I love how the Skaven speak and how it influences people to do the same. That's how you know its epic - when fans do it every chance they get!
That was a very skaven way to finish the battle
"Enemy lord-generals are still living-undead!"
"Where are the skeleton things!?"
"There-there! In midst of our soldier-minions!"
"FIRE! FIRE! BURN-SINGE SKELETON THING! NO MATTER IF OURS DIE-DIE TOO!"
The checkerboard formation you used is also a good way to make handguns work better if you don't have a piece of elevated terrain to stand on. You have the gunners advance ahead of the formation lined up with one of the gaps. Then retreat through the gaps as the enemy approaches, have your infantry engage allowing your hand guns to shoot into the enemy's flank.
This one was incredible honestly. One of your best for drama.
I prefer the disaster battles to the campaigns. I don't usually have teh time to watch a five hour playthrough, even sped up. These awesome snippet battles where the odds are stacked against you are great.
Love this series, pls do not stop it :D
Saving disaster battles is all I watch from you
There the best thing you do!!!!!
Warpfire Throwers really proved themselves to be in this battle. Ratling Guns, Jezzails, and Plagueclaws have been the bulk of my killing force. Might have to give them a go.
Yeah, it's not that people are really getting tired of the battles, it's that you never lose. Seeing one that is as close as this is what I really enjoy and I am pretty sure others do as well. Disaster battles are just more interesting when you are struggling imo.
Disaster battles are your best content. Please keep em coming
I only found this channel from a SYDC as Clan Mors, and then again from that Cylostra Direfin. I especially likes the Disaster Battle as the Skaven vs the Wood Elves you didn't expect to win, that was satisfying especially since I can sometimes go heavy on the weapons teams, but also because you could hear your delight at smashing the elves. I like your disaster battles, the blast-ier the better, please do carry on, if you decide to step them down, it'll be interesting to see what you bring up in their place.
This battle though, this was awesome, it came right down to the wire and you were using just about every tool you could get a hold of to win, a great watch.
Fantastic stuff Legend!
skaven are sooooo good after Ikit DLC. scorch-burn all things, yes-yes!
Following your cheese strategies have made me genuinely better at the game, I used to have some issues on Legendary but following your advice (Like Tomb King lichepriest stacking knowledgeable!) has made my gameplay much better. Thank you.
I love having 30/ 70 winds of magic, so fun.
This is just one man's opinion, I love the disaster battles/campaigns and think you should keep doing them
I still love these. You are a savage on the field sir.
This was the best battle I have seen you do so far (out of like 10).
i can never get bored of these!!
The skaven are easily frightened, but they'll soon be back, and in greater numbers.
i really like these disaster battles you can learn so much from them.
I love disaster battles specially since within the videos you throw awesome tips and things. I tend to watch them all the time because they are fun and every time I learn something new from you. I would really love some structured guides about, let say: Magic, or cheesy things like how to properly corner camp, How to use the checkeredboard formation, when to use it, when to not use it. Why Vampire counts blop they troops. Things like that
Do love a good disaster battle pal, especially when the battle looks un-winnable
love the disaster battles and campaigns. would love to see more siege battles. also, if those horsemen didnt sneak into your artillery in the beginning there i think you would have won pretty easily, but it certainly ended up being a suspenseful ending!
It always tickles me that what is considered to be "cheesing" in RTS games is in the real world actually just effective tactics that have literally won hundreds of battles. Corner camping and blobbing is just standard concentration of force in advantageous terrain. Running faster units around the field and picking off enemy units one by one is exactly what you are meant to do. When you cheese you are thinking like an actual military commander lol.
IRL cheesing with napalm is frowned upon but highly effective.
@@dominicmanester8125 Damn straight.
@@dominicmanester8125 The entire Skaven arsenal is frowned upon IRL or straight up prohibited by Geneva convention.
@@CoverofWinter So is gunning down the enemy when they run but.. it works.
Yeah, I like the part where you run a single tank in front of a whole army and the army wasits all of its ammo trying to shoot it. My favorite part, though, is when you control how much of the enemy force and your force is available ny pressing the big, " control large army" button that god just has for every military commander.
how many hours did you sleep after yesterday
he said multiple times, during 24hours live, that he need about 8 hours of good sleep.
that was an amazingly close battle XD nicely done!
>doesn't gamble on 13 winds of magic
I see you know better than to anger the Horned Rat.
This battle was very entertaining. Most of my favorites of his disaster battles I see are close victories, but this one using Warpfire Throwers effectively was awesome.
This is seriously quality content, we don't want this to stop.
Love the disaster battles, watch them nonstop
I'm new to total war 2, only really taking a deep dive into it recently, and I feel like ive gotten a lot better watching you take these tough games and listeneing to your comentary.
TLDR
Keep making the AI suffer. I enjoy it.
I actually love the long 1 hour SYDC but I'll still watch every video you'll upload
I prefer disaster campaigns to battles, but I spend so much time watching Legend's Warhammer videos that I don't play the game myself!
Saving Disaster Campaigns are a favorite of mine, regardless, any of your content is useful for learning new tactics and strategies along with being entertaining.
Great work dude, that was soooo close!
I love these videos. They're one of the reason I subscribe to this channel. Bu I can understand the need to do something else sometime. Nice video.
I'm happy I could give you such a enjoyable battle Sorry for not telling youthe mods were okay firstThanks Legend
I don't mind these at all. I enjoy 'em.
Using the Brass Orb with an overcasted Warp Lightning is a really effective combo. Hold them in place and deal minor damage with Bras Orb, decimate the unit with warp lightning. Even after the nerf.
When they all ran away all the time and he was grunting and saying: "Fuck me! The rats .... ARE COWARDS" and that end was nice, the emotion of Legend while he tried to kill their commanders and shouted: "UGGHHHHH Just die you fucking Bone.
That was a lot of fun to watch!!
I have been watching your videos for about a month now. I just realized that the intro isn't "another seven year disaster battle", but rather "saving your disaster battle video".
Whoops. Thanks for the content!
That battle was a lot of fun. I think due to your skill that sometimes the win is a foregone conclusion and people can get bored. I dont know how you fix that, but I enjoy the disaster battles
I don't know... campaign videos are way too long to watch, while disasters are quick and entertaining
Brilliant battle. Best one on the channel
woah, I am absolutely not tired of disaster battles, I love them.
Perhaps some guides on how to get the most out of common units so people can avoid having disaster battles? Or perhaps updated "units to always/never recruit"? Those sorts of videos could be a good way to wind down out of so many Saving Your Disaster Battles. I love the disaster saves, but I do agree that a lot of people seem less eager for them right now
Hey Legend, I gotta say I at least I love the SYDBs. I also enjoyed the couple you did from other titles. Your empire video got crazy views! I think people are maybe just tired of Warhammer videos
I still enjoy the saving your disaster battles, but I look forward to seeing your future content. You mentioned a while ago you might do a sword of khaine guide video. That would be awesome learning the ins and outs of SOK.
THAT WAS AMAZING!
Great battle man! Skaven overwhelmed by numbers is awesome xD
MAN and that finish, absolutely insane. Amazing stuff
I feel like this is the disaster content that makes my small iron the big iron. Also wtf congrats on 200k I'm late to the party;
ironic people are getting tired of them when im just finding out about them and getting into them
That was a close one. Good job.
Oh god, that was probably the greatest battle I've ever seen on any total war games :D
Loved the real-time, but you could easily make a sweeping cinematic style video of this battle. Would be a real nail biter lol
Disaster Battles are top tier content dude!
Awesome!!
I love this disaster battles but I guess having some disasters campaigns would be nice as well
Agreed. Disaster battles see some interesting tactics but I like seeing the strategy to get out of a disaster campaign situation
Now that was great
Wow. What an amazing battle. Great viewing.
I personally prefer these disaster battles where you have to display your full skill rather than those that just seem like ticking the "waste ammo, run around, derp de ai and wind of death them" boxes.
goddamn if that wasn't the most exciting battle I've seen so far
You're still getting like 30-50k views for these. It just depends on which TW and what the battle is, for example i didn't watch the "A few germans" and i didn't watch the horse archer one. But i normally watch most of the other even tho i barely play this game myself.
Its just nice to see you beat impossible odds
that was an intense and epic fight thank you legend for epic video. how ironic skaven were colored red like romans using roman tactics in this vid
That was epic GJ
That was amazing!!!!!!
Best disaster battle so far
Best disaster battle i've ever seen
I'd like to see more campaign saves that start with a bad situation vs just starting at an unwinnable battle at the battle screen.
Amazing battle! Quick and full of action, plus the triplice axis strategy in place!
But Legend, I do think that you could share those make those saved campaigns available for us in every video. I would like particularly to play this one. So if you could do that on your nexts Disaster Campaing/Battles, I would be glad. Thanks! Keep the good work
I love disaster battles man
I actually prefer disaster battle over disaster campaign (although disaster campaign is more educational) sometimes i fell asleep while watching disaster campaign while being tired because it resolves around with a lot of management which can sometimes be really long and slow, while disaster battle is just pure action
This is why you always keep a reserve Warp A-bomb
Epic finish
Disaster battles are my favourite content you create! Learn a lot from them, they’re usually reasonable in terms of length and you get a range of scenarios! Not sure what makes you think people are bored of them?
Man... i screamed at the end .
Holy shit the only time I've seen a battle this close, was in Rome 1. The army loss penalty usually kicks in before the battle gets really interesting
Mummies getting killed by rats with mountain dew guns, I love warhammer.
If anything you should go for more disaster campaigns other than battles
In f*cked campaigns there is more at stake, you could teach us how to deal with a certain scenario and such...
Remember, you are the only one with that style of content, you should go for it! Also the best ;)
i like to see the disaster campaigns alot more
i think you should set the corpse fade to permanent, its neat to see where the mini skirmishes take place and it just looks cool.
