M'am,I watched the series of interio general and it was fabulous, fantastic and marvelous piece of work. It was full of information. It added many more things to keep in mind while doing something new for our home but now a days I can't get any notification of your channel. Please continue such that kind of informative videos and that's why new learners or beginners can get information and knowledge and one like myself who is only eager to know new things and work style that's in trend. Please do something. I was used to watch all those episodes of interio journal.

Area lighting is the major source of light, which is uniformly spread.
Others are extra lights.
Major mistakes are-
1. Choosing the wrong type, size and style of lighting. Tip: Use panel lights instead of tube-lights.
2. Using only 1 temperature of light.
3. Mixing two temperature of light.
4. Not using Natural light effectively. Tip: Use light colours on walls.
5. Not buying extra lights. Tip: Buy 2-3 lights extra.
Can we use nautral white panel light in dining and living room and cool white light in room,kitchen and bathroom because some one is saying use same colour light in all room as it will cause strain in eye otherwise please suggest me ?

I m not a designer but i designed my dining area just like you have mentioned. In my earlier home the spot lights were on the ceiling and there was a fan. Ans we could never use the lights as whenever we switched on the light and fan together there was fan shadow flickering all along. So our designer suggested to go for tower fan or AC but we went for luker's retractable fan with lights.

i have 160 sq feet of room what i did is i ordered 2, 18 watt Philips stellar curved light bulb and instead of facing them downwards i face them on ceiling so that it will throw light on my ceiling it created a well lit diffused environment without putting strain on the eyes... my parents off course dont like the idea but as long as it will not harm my eyes it will be ok for me...

As usual very knowledgeable video with your great way of explaining..If possible give us information about mivan structure..as an interior designer you do lot of changes in existing structure like shifting switch boards, changing furniture layouts given by builder.. please suggest how it works in mivan structure...

How to calculate no and wattage of lights in an area ? If you can please advise? Also is there any other alternative other than POP for the wirings to be concealed?
We follow a typical thumb rule
For a room of 10’x10’ we provide 4 nos. 15 watt lights.
For rooms arround 12’x14’ we provide 6 no’s 15 watt light

surface panel lights. They dont require false ceiling and also come in 3in1 option.

COBs are like spotlight. its not recommanded for or applications.
Hi Nihara. I stay in a 3 bhk 1600 sq ft apartment in Delhi. I want to renovate my home post Diwali. I have a few questions :
1. Is it possible to renovate the whole house while we stay in it at the same time? As in we can occupy 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom at a time while rest of the home is renovated.
2. How long can we expect the renovations to last?
3. If we want you to take up the project, will you be able to do it considering you stay in Mumbai? How will you manage it if you say yes? If you say no, can you suggest a good interior designer/ architect?
