I went back to this fight because of the controversy and I’m here to tell everyone that Nunes won. I like both of these fighters but nunes controlled that whole fight to the point I don’t even really care about the stats because it was pretty much like a sparring fight and every round was the same. You can’t sit there looking for the counter the whole fight… even the rounds where Valentina might of won she never pushed forward, never had control of the octagon. Other than getting hit by strikes Nunes pretty much had a perfect fight. They really need to make octagon control a legit stat in this sport and really focus on that I’m not saying it’s everything but I’m fights like these it should be.

I went back to this fight because of the controversy and I’m here to tell everyone that Nunes won. I like both of these fighters but nunes controlled that whole fight to the point I don’t even really care about the stats because it was pretty much like a sparring fight and every round was the same. You can’t sit there looking for the counter the whole fight… even the rounds where Valentina might of won she never pushed forward, never had control of the octagon. Other than getting hit by strikes Nunes pretty much had a perfect fight. They really need to make octagon control a legit stat in this sport and really focus on that I’m not saying it’s everything but I’m fights like these it should be.
