I watched the Gene Simmons family reality show. Shannon his wife and his kids made an amazing family dynamic.

Love Kisses music or not, one can not be in love with Gene's zest for life and energy and sense of humility.
The thing is that people hate him and Paul. The more that I know of ace and Peter, the more I realize that gene and Paul were the drivers behind kiss for a long time.
Sense of humility? Dude, Gene is a savvy businessman, but he thinks he's God's gift to humanity. Humility is the last word one should use to describe him.
I would have enjoyed hearing him go more in depth on his thoughts on April Wine.

I feel inspired to go out and make millions to help my family and people around me live a happier life with the freedom money gives them and thus hopefully avoid dying alone like some pathetic worm. I, for my entire life, have not liked Gene (not that I'm under any illusion that he would care WHATSOEVER).
But like a light coming on, all of a sudden in watching this interview, I get his sense of humour and now I've done that, he's nowhere close to the asshole I thought he was. Great interview.

Strombo's the aging hipster wannabe who tries to be Mr. Warm and Fuzzy. Some of his interviews are actually quite good, but here he is trying far too much to get Gene to slam Trump. Not exactly an honest job of being objective. II wish Gene would have called him on some of his comments for example.

The truth is bands make way more today then they ever use to.Concert ticket's were cheap and mainly touring was to advertise albums not make tons of money.Also bands got what one or two dollars for each record sold and had to split it four ways or five ways.They are making way more charging what they do for concerts now and off VIP packages and selling instruments and as in Kiss's case the Kiss Kruise then they ever made in the past.Honestly it's reverse now a new record is advertisement for a tour and a reason for fans to come see a band.But I guess Gene does not need that when they can just tour off nostalgia and people will come as when older bands play new songs the older fans don't really want to hear them live.Also there are newer bands still building a buzz off the net and getting there music out and people coming to see them.Thing's just changed that is the way it is.

MorbidManMusic if I’m not mistaken, originally Bill Acoin started the merchandise stuff and a percentage was given to the band and split equally. I doubt if Gene has full control as Paul is very well aware of what’s going on and I’m sure gets compensated. Kiss is unique as the Beatles, that the four members were stars individually. When I was a kid there were no Black Sabbath dolls with the four members. Unless you were a fan, no one really knew who Ward or Butler were.. but love them or hate them, back in the day, most kids knew the four names of the members of Kiss. Especially Gene... I understand what you’re saying, hell maybe I’m wrong...
