Alabamian here. This is badasser than hell.
Tennessean here... And I agree 😁👍
Originally from Alabama here - I always told my kids that every time a baby is born in 'Bama they play Sweet Home. If the baby cries, we send them to Mississippi.

An American anthem. You did it justice.
Nothing like leo changing the course of the day. Woke up, Not wanting to go work. I run my own business. And here we are. A complete mood shift.
Man you are a genius. That arrangement and performance was brilliant.
What I love is that you find a way to stay true to the original sound, but add that little LEO twist. Absolutely love this!
This hits home for a couple of reasons. First, a song that I have played and sang in every band I was ever in, including high school, when this was a relatively new song. More importantly, my wife and I traveled to Alabama last week into this week because we have a new granddaughter! We actually drove through Muscle Shoals. They have highway 72 on a "bypass", so unlike the other times we have made that long trip, we did not pass directly by the famous studio. (And by "long trip", 800-ish miles from Dallas, Tx, to Scottsboro, AL, each way. That is around 1300 km, for metric folks. I drove both ways. LONG frickin' drive. But GRANDDAUGHTER! Worth it!)
awwww, congrats
Congrats on your new edition to your family that's an awesome story
My dad, who was a child during the Great Depression, *loved* this song. And his favorite movie was THIS IS SPINAL TAP. I am pretty damned certain that he would have *LOVED* this cover. And now I'm all weepy, because this is hitting me right in the feels. :D

I live in Mississippi. I have a tear coming down my left cheek. You did us Southern Rock boys proud!
MS born and raised here too! I love this cover.
I Live close 2 where the plane went down and the monument memorial is, enjoy this version of it.
I've been watching Leo's videos for a few years now. Being US Navy, part of the joy of pulling into a port visit is seeing what awesomeness Leo has made while away at sea.
Leo = Boss. I'm a tried and true metal head and I gotta say man, the tracks you put out are amazing. True artistry!
Ok, as a 62 yo native Alabamian that was a bold move to attempt this ……..however……you did it ✌️
Wheat money. I got a cordless. Drill
Greetings from Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Home of the Swampers, also known as The Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, one of the most prominent American studio house bands from the 1960s to the 1980s, these musicians, individually or as a group, have been associated with more than 500 recordings, including 75 gold and platinum hits. David Hood, David Briggs, and Norbert Putnam are still alive and kicking and picking. Sadly Jerry Carrigan, Barry Beckett, Roger Hawkins, and Jimmy Johnson have passed on.
Thanks Leo for giving the world your rendition of this Southern Fried Rock standard.
The Muscle Shoals studio band the Swampers have been involved in some of the greatest rock songs ever. True musicians that have never really got the recognition they deserve
Hello from Decatur!
my Family camped, fished and muscled in Muscle Shoals.
Muscle Shoals native here. Go Trojans.
So you live along that mighty Tennessee river, with the mighty Wilson Dam in the distance as you cross the singing river bridge to one side, and the historic O'Neil and Old Railroad bridges to the other side? Ah yes, being from the Shoals, it's a beautiful thing.
This is how you bring a rock classic to a new generation. Well done sir thank you for this.
Growing up in Tennessee, I grew up on skynyrd. This is the best sweet home cover I’ve ever heard. I would expect no less from Leo. Great job as usual brother.
It's crazy how some songs just don't age.
This song is 50 years old this year, and whether it's a cover, remix or the original, it's still a vibe!
Once again you mates kill it. Keep it hard, mates.
I think Ronnie Van Zant and the rest of Lynyrd Skynyrd would approve this remake, it is probably the best I have heard.
Ronnie and the boys are looking down from heaven with a smile,ROCK ON FROG LEAP!!!
I am a big fan of Leo Moracchioli, but no. No they are not. 😑
@@Dee_3391 why???
@@swampthing6892, I think you can figure it out. 😉
@@swampthing6892 even if one out of ten doesn't like it, it's still a thing for the rest of us.
Just started watching this but already know it's going to be epic!!!
Born in 1969.... Listened to this song my whole life..What Did l just hear? Thank You sir.....Thank you...Your talent has no boundaries....Be cool brother..... PLEASE COVER THE TALKING HEADS
From someone who saw this played live in Oakland, CA.....I love the cover Leo
The instrumental interpretation on this one is FIIIIIIRRRRREEEEE!
Thank you for making a classic better. You truly rock!🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
Facts ✨️
Leo, is there anything you can't turn into a metal masterpiece? Brilliant, as usual.
I’m a drummer in Michigan. I have played Sweet Home a thousand times over the past 20 years but this is my fav version. Rock on!
Great cover.
Come and Get Your Love by Redbone or Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader
Fantastic!
One of the most surreal experiences of my life involved this song. I'd gone over to Jordan for an archaeological dig (field school). A bus picked the crew up at the airport. When we got off the bus at our tiny hotel in a tinier town, we were greeted by the original version of this song pouring through the hotel doors. That was not the music I'd expected! 😅
Unfortunately my father died before seeing his last video!! He always watched your channel at home and in the car and loved your versions!!
I'm watching his video with a lot of pain in my heart!!
I also really like your work and THANK YOU for providing good times for my dad!
Thank you man!!!!
An interesting and good story is that I followed your channel, from the beginning, and one day I caught him listening and he said, "look at this, this guy is really good"... then I said, "I follow his channel! " and he said "Me too!!...and we smiled...
And my father doesn't even like very heavy sounds, but he loved his!
God bless you and your family. 🙏🏻
Watching them might have been the cause of death
@@patriotmadness6231 Thanks!!🙏
How do you make an Iconic Rock anthem better...just add Leo!
Leo can’t touch anything that doesn’t turn to gold, but in my personal opinion, this is the best we’ve seen since the tour.
EPIC cover!
Hey Leo as someone from Alabama I can say you did us proud!!!! Thanks!!!
Another legit metal cover from a non-metal source ... the talent on Leo is nothing short of incredible!
Sweet home Rock n' Roll Alabama! 🤘🏾
From someone who is from Alabama thank you for making this classic even more sick!🤘
Sweet leaf
This song in the southern United States is all but an anthem...it's almost as sacred as amazing grace to southerners. I think you did a fine job with it.
I live in Alabama. This is how I have heard this mentally for years. Thank you for bringing it to being Leo
Leo, хорош! Определённо, он марка качества!
Mississippi metalhead here!! I salute you, sir!! 🤘
Love Frog Leap Studios!!!
THE GOAT IS BACK! Pure southern metal
Every time u do a classic ,I loved it! U never butcher it! Keep it up!
Hell yeah!
As an Alabamian, this is very much appreciated ❤🔥
I've been playing live since 1986, and this version actually pumps me up. LOVE IT BROTHER!
i absolutely love this guy!!!!! Sweet Home original I dig. We lived in Bama and loved it!!! This song and this version basically refers to the Southeastern quarter of our beloved America!!!!! Leo is beyond talented!!!! My new favorite version of the classic song!!!!
Great version and thank you for being respectful and not making fun of Alabama and the South!
Man i swear on everything I love, I sang this song at the same time you posted it. Walking out of work I just bursted into song, “sweet home Alabama!!!”
Then you posted it!!! 🙌🏽
How fuggin crazy
Good shit!
My Girlfriend just played a video with it in the background. I said hey, Leo just put that out and listened. Nice.
I swear, Leo, at this point I'm just gonna send you the remainder of my 'favorites playlist' so you can Frog Leap it all... because now it all has to be.
Well Done. 1977 Grad. here, I've enjoyed many of your renditions of some had hitting jams and this makes the list. Keep Rocking and Thank you
I don’t know if it’s because I’m a southern boy or not but this is my favorite from you by far, and that says a lot, your amazing.
Good morning from a tiny town near Mammoth Cave, Kentucky, USA.
Thank you, Leo, for this video. Love it!
I made a notation on my calendar’s May 11th date “CZcams live stream concert Frog Leap Studio”.
Would that tiny town be Cave City?
@@thor6580 how do you know Cave City? My town is not far from Cave City.
@@amethystanne4586 I lived there in the late 70s to early 80s. Are you from perhaps Rocky Hill? I lived there too.
@@thor6580 I live outside any of any “city” limits in Metcalfe County, total population about 10,000(?). In 1988, DH&I moved our family here from a town 30 miles north of Trenton NJ, when the housing boom there was getting started.

The best version ever!! 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
Oh yeah! I freaking love it!....and that t-shirt too ❤❤❤
From a true Southern Appalachian Man, you did an awesome job covering one of the best songs ever. !!🤘🤘
Yes!!!! LFG!! 🤘
Very difficult to take such a widely known and loved song and do it justice. Nailed it.
Love this metal treatment of Southern rock way more than the original. And in these here parts, that’s sacrilegious!
Hell yeah
good watching! its gonna be EPIC and VERY IMPRESSIVE
Very nice! Thank you for creating such great things with your creativity.
There is only one word for this....... AWESOME.
Man a whammy bar going LOW on some of the stops would have been nasty!!! Great job as ALWAYS!!!!!!
What an EPIC cover, you make every song better in my opinion Leo
If Skynard was heavy metal, that nailed it! Awesome job!
It is insanely good as usual...Please come to Switzerland!
Its all about the breakdowns Baby!
Огонь!!! Жги Братан!!!
Видимо, русские собираются тут?
Outragiously good cover. What an absurd level of talent possessed by just one individual!
Nailed it!!
Loved it!
Rock on
So much talent packed into one man. Seriously looking forward to the live event. Let’s gooooo!!!!
I love it when he covers country songs like this. Very cool!
Would LOVE to hear you cover Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)
Wow I love it
Absolute perfection
Truly a gifted musician, thank you Leo
Best one yet
You must be new here 😉
It’s good, yes. But I think his “Africa” cover was the best he’s ever done.
I think the list of Leo's top songs is very long...one is better than the other and when you think it can't get any better, Leo hits another hit 😀 I love Land of Confusion, Simply the Best and especially Ti Amo. ..but could go on like this forever 😉while we're at it Forever Young 😀
@@Cartagena1 "Africa" is for sure his most iconic cover,
but there are a lot of very very great ones that do not deserve not to be mentioned! :)
Sweet !!!!!
Leo you talented SOB .. almost didn't click because the song has been done over and over but you sir have done an amazing job !!!
LOVE IT!!! one of the best sweet home Alabama i have ever heard!!!

I can't remember how many years since I first heard you. You are still brining it! Thx for keeping metal alive!
For when your southern pride is hitting hard
This was freakin' amazing!! Lynyrd Skynyrd fan here... never thought I'd see the day I'd love a cover of that song as much as the original.
u are the elon musk of remixes my man! love it!
As a huge skynyrd fan, that's the best cover I've ever heard.
This is legit awesome.
Radio stations should play this, this summer.
It must be 5 years or so since I found your covers of songs, just so musically gifted dude, so many wonderfully thought out and beautifully performed and produced music, you never disappoint!
