I have retired from sewing. These videos are all that's left. I have a couple more archives to repost and a few to edit together from the last days. I'm glad you are learning from them. Good Luck.

Oh man! I was invested and focused! Then the bobbins screwed me over 😂 and the next shot, the cover was on the boat! Im new to uphholstery and have mostly done interiors. I was asked to do a Donzi cover and came across your channel. Sorry to hear you've retired, the vids are amazing! Thanks for posting. They've been most helpful..wishing you the best in the future!

I hope there's enough here for you to learn my methods. The advantages I enjoyed at this location are the huge table (10'X28'), and the powerful Consew machines. Also notice, my infeed table is inline with the needle path.
Sewing interiors, you sit right in front of the needle. With large projects you must sew side-saddle to keep things flat and off the floor, just before they go under the stitch. Line up, pull taunt, sew that 30", reset and repeat.
Best of luck learning canvas work,
      -EZ

Ping-Pong tables are sometimes free or cheap on marketplace and make great tempy tables for canvas work. Huge working surface, folds up and rolls away.

Were those relief cuts along the outside corners?

Yes, just short of the line. I tuck them so the presser foot won't snag on the way past.

Can you please tell me how you handle a material that frays without having a serger?

With Sunbrella Marine fabric, the 3 Bs. Bind it, Burn it, or Bury it.
-The Sailrite Swing-Away binder is the best I've used.
-The adjustable hot knifes put a stout burn on the fabric edge that will resist fray for years.
-A double hem will bury that live edge where it can not fray far.
Some will use pinking shears to cut the zigzag pattern along the entire edge, but that's highly impractical for covers this size. A standard 21' runabout should only take 8 hours to fabricate, quote them as 12 hours to cover admin costs and any mishaps during production. When everything aligned, we we're processing 1 boat a day. Good Luck, -EZ
