As an old adopt me player i think..
Adopt me is dying week after week and there is a very, very low chance the game could grow again and here is why:
1st: Repetitive: as you may know, adopt me is a pet game where you raise pets and eggs, with the bucks you earn you can buy more and more pets and trade them to get rare legendaries, however every pet in the entire game works the same as just another, you grow them and trade, grow and trade, grow and trade..
2nd: Scams: i know Adopt me tried his best to minimize it as much as they could, but they were too late for it, many players already quit bc of scams.
3rd: low content, Adopt me is doing weekly updates, i wont deny that keeps the game alive, however most of them lack of content, you could esily master a whole update in few days, that is another reason why the game drops few days after an update, they could make updates a lil bit harder and at the same time fun so that problem is solved.
How to improve?
I have some useful ideas that can make the game rise again, (they are very risky tho)
1st: Level up sistem, by completing a certain amount of pet tasks you could level up and earn rewards like bucks, aging pots, items, pets, or even 2x exp/bucks boosts for some minutes! That would be a good reason for players to keep playing as they would level up and unlock new features!
2nd: major sea/ map extention, as you may know adopt me added boats and sea vehicles a long ago but there is few water in the map for you to explore, i would say they could add islands where we could only go with boats, is those islands you could buy itens, search for chests and stuff! They could also add adoption island explanaion like exploreable mountains and secret areas you can buy exotic high end pets.
3rd mining sistem, adopt me recently added mahi-mahi fishes you could catch them with a fishing rod, they could do the same for mining where you could get moles, ground pets and even pehistoric bone/fossil pets!
If you guys are able to, could you please send this to adopt me team? Lets hope for a brighter future!
I agree with these for example I weekly update can have robux items but when nearly every week it’s just a new robux pet if u are free to play it’s boring also the fact they know bucks scams are so popular but havnt implemented a way to trade it accept the limited silk bags and also it’s way to hard to get the old pets so newer players don’t want to play and the people who don’t have enough to get there dream pet give up then the people with the pet are getting bored so quit as well so they need to implement either so they need to figure something for that what’s near impossible to please everyone u can’t bring them back as that ruins everything another blazing lion kind of pet angers people how hard it is and doesn’t hold value and still can’t get the neons of those pets and a value system would also annoy people so it’s a loosing battle with that one as well I feel that there best bet is doing those stands again remaking the pets and focusing on gameplay

Whilst you do prove a point regarding the concurrent issue that adopt me have right now, (the fact that it is repetitive), you failed to address that point within your solution. I want to address each point that you made:
1: Scamming was never the big issue, to begin with, Scams have prevailed ever since the game started. Many of my friends got scammed but never actually quit adopt me, they just tried again and rebuilt their inventory. While those who did quit blame it on scammers, in reality they only complained about the lack of updates, and boring content. However, you do prove a point that people might not come back to adopt me due to scammers, though scamming is only a sector of adopt me playerbase. The orginal game-plan of adoptme was never a pet collection simulator where people just traded pets and spammed "ABC to offer for my _______" I believe that adopt me needs to focus more on the other aspects, especially the roleplay
2: I disagree in the sense that adopt me have low content, games such as brookheaven update less frequently, yet they still receive more popularity, despite them being in the same genre and having lower graphic quality. I think its about the quality the of the content rather than quantity. Each update have been soley focused on either A) adding more content to the trading aspect, or B) adding more content to the trading aspect, raraly, there is an actual update that does not regard pets. Another thing is that you stated that adopt me needs "harder content." I find this quite confusing as adopt me is not a game where you are in a battle or on a quest, it is a self-paced game where you collect what you want and roleplay, there is no "getting harder." If you meant the decrease the chances of receiving legendary/rarer pets, you are truly mistaken as many many people threaten to quite adopt me after adopt me altered the desert egg down to 4%
Now it is time to express my opinions on your idea of "improvement":
1: This is quite hypocritical as you claimed earlier that adopt me should be harder. However giving more rewards would mean that the game would be eaiser, therefore a contradiction within your points. This is sadly not the only issue within the point. #1, adopt me serverely lack the funds. Adopt me is notoriously known for making their gamepasses extremely expensive. This makes sense as they have a whole full-time devs who needs to get payed and support their family. Adopt me just simply does not have the motive to just implement free stuff. They already added the taskboard which kinda gave free stuff (the task board already have most of the things that you mentined that is another reason why they would not implement what you stated). 2x exp and buck boost may be too major as it might ruin the balance of neons.
2: On paper, creating a larger map does have the benefit of exploration and more to do, but on in reality, this would simply not work as this is a roleplaying game, not an open world similar to a game such as Genshin Impact. This game thrives on players, so if you take away interaction by making a huge map where players can interact, interaction between players would be left out and one would feel isolated, the opposite of the aim of what adopt me is trying to do.
3: This is another contradiction that you made here. You stated that the major issue with adopt me is that repetition is killing this game, what you described is just another repetition. But in this case, it would be worst as it would be massively similar to the fossil dig event at the fossil egg release. Adopt me have been shamed for reusing or remodeling content (people even got upset that the frost furry looked too similar to a frost dragon). Im not saying that your idea is bad, its just that it has nothing to do with improving the game, rather it supports the other side.
Adopt me is almost at an unsave(able) position as to do flip the table and bring back players, they must do an extremely risky move that might potentially cost them their concurrent player base. For example, one major flaw is that the game is "too hard" to beat. I have friends who played adopt me ever since the jungle egg was still in game 2019 (thats 5 years), yet she is still not even close to a shadow dragon, let alone a mega shadow dragon. I am slighy more invested in trading, so my inventory is worth around 2 shadow dragons, this means that I need to 5x my inventory in order to beat the game. While adopt me keeps piling new pets into the system, we see a clog where value just does not function anymore, 2 neon turtles < owl, yet fallow deer = octopus = spinosar-rex = criosphinx = hawk. With the majority of the playerbase as traders, this is a massive issue.
Your points are not incorrect or unjustified, it just that adopt me is known for ingoring their playerbase unless a huge revolt occurs, sending these messages would not do much as they simpley do not have the resources
@@strawberryjess Omg you just said in one paragraph what I stated in like 5, I agree that adopt me heavily favors P2W players. One mechanism that I think would work potentially well is for adopt me to make a similar to Adopt me 2. However, it can be the same way how Pet simulator X to Pet Simulator 99 inventory transfer works. Adopt me can create a value calcualor which determines the value of the pets inside a person's account, then when the player goes to the new adopt me, it would be transformed into a new pet of equal value as the previous adopt me. I also agree that adopt me needs to focus on the roleplaying aspects, the cops vs robbers idea was so cool, yet they decided not to implement it. Adopt me tries to stay within the borders of "adopting and roleplaying parents and child" but they can only take a game so far, the majority of the players moved on from that to pet collection.

I feel like this will down grade legendary pets and might cause some trouble with values, it’s a nice concept but it could be problematic.

The reason why they are losing players is because of scammers and, most importantly, how players use accounts that look completely new. All those bacons in servers. Is the reason people leave . The scammers are the bullies ... 😢it's just sad, period.. it's not the pets it's the people in the game.

If they do this update, then nobody will want legendary pets anymore, the thousands of neon legendary pets people have right now will be worthless. It's a nice idea but it should be done a bit differently.

They are coming up for a new rarity called animated and it’s for the sticker packs and only for them so I don’t think there going to add them in eggs

I think its an amazing idea! I would make it hard to get though because like some people said it would downgrade the legendaries if everyone had them so maybe if it is harder to get then it is amazing!
I hate the entire concept of this. It not only ruins the game, but also makes the game more directed towards trading. The NEED for getting the exotic rarity pets will fluctuate, not only increasing trades but also decreasing the game's value overtime as new players will not find the game fun anymore(Even though this is already happening). I feel like adopt me needs to stop with adding the same pets with different appearances and instead should focus on how to make the game enjoyable for old players as well as new ones.However, even if the exotic pets are released in the game, then the value will decrease overtime and soon nobody will start to care for it anymore.

i used to play adopt me all the time during the covid era and yeah its definitely dying. my biggest problem with it currently is that the values for pets are sooo overpriced. i feel bad for the newer players because its almost impossible to get a frost dragon from scratch in 2024. adopt me has been creating so many new pets and its like inflation in real life where if theres too much money produced at once, the value of that money will decrease...these new pets have little to no value whatsoever because of how many adopt me keeps putting out and that makes them extremely difficult to trade up. im telling yall right now that i used to be able to trade a single kangaroo for a single giraffe in 2020. now you might have to trade two mega kangaroos to get one giraffe, which is like 32 kangaroos in total. if you went in a trading server in 2020 you could trade with people instantly and people were always fair and gave good deals. now, that absolutely never, EVER happens. the only people who do trade you make their offer a severe underpay. also, people in general were also a lot nicer, and there was less toxicity and only minimal scamming.
They should do national days or weeks with different themes each day or week.
No updates like that whould make it better adding the same pets every week makes trading so hard and to memorize their value, and exotic pets added would nuke the value of every exesting leg

Exotic pets could be fun, but as someone else pointed out, it may cause a value/ trading problem. I also think they would start charging even more (than 1000 Roblox) for their special holiday pets and most people don’t even buy those, myself included.

Adopt Me isn't the only thing that's dying, so is my motivation for playing it. I'm broke with a lot of stuff that's hard to trade. There's also toxic people. However, I can't wait to play the new update! 😁
I disagree I played since pets came out took a 2 year break and now on and off what adopt me needs is a gameplay revamp more tasks as there is time u stand and do nothing maybe add pet personality’s they can add some rare ones for the traders but it’s fun for the average player still like peckish so they get the food task more then a lazy pet it wants to take naps then a rare one that ages faster or something I feel that will help bring people back and maybe even newer players

I didn't like this idea, lately the game is only focused on the negotiation part, and this is putting many players off, as scams increase as a result.
Before, the game was so fun because it was a lighter game, which involved decorating your house, taking care of your pet and hatching eggs, and the players actually did that, created friendships and had fun.
Now with this update, it will be more impossible than it already is to find players who actually play the game, because lately I only see players in the exchange center, and that is very annoying. Since Adopt me already has 8 servers for trading, why don't they create a server just for players who really want to play without having to deal with all these negotiations and scams all the time? I would love to play again, since before the game was aimed at fun not greed, it would also be good if we could dress up those "dolls" that are like pets. What if you could equip at least 2 pets at the same time?
Then, The classic came out reviving Adopt me.

I think that Adopt me can revive itself with an history mode where you can play any past updates you want.
Or even they could make a "machine" that gives you a pet by your choice (but it will be untradealable of course) like a Mega Neon Bat dragon [untradealable].
I don’t think that wouldn’t work yes it’s unreadable but people don’t want mega bat dragons to trade they want it to flex or they like it’s look so it just devalues it and that will cuase people to quit for example the Salom update devalued the pink cat and blue dog even though it’s not the pet it looks it and why would I trade for it when I can do it for free and u arnt trying to trade it
That being said a history mode where u can play the update get the pets but u only have them in that mode could work but then I feel it’s pointless
I didn't like it, this update will make older pets lose their value, and the game will end up running only on values as it already is, I wish they would change that, the game is only running on negotiations.

This I feel the problem isn’t the level of rarity in the game the problem is how rare some pets are if u stared playing today u are never getting a mega high tier as no one wants in game pets or pets that are not high tiers for them and that happens with every single high tier and I do it to as those pets have no value accept blazing lion I feel the game needs more gamplay updates then new pets as yes u can have the brand new pet but what can u do stand around with it as tasks are so infrequent trade it but that gets boring and feels separate and gets boring after a while

edit: I just got scammed for my kangaroo. The story : I was in a trading server and then someone said "trading frost dragon for neon red panda." And I was dozey at the time and just watched one of their trades. Someone offered it but then declined. I then traded them, I gave them my kangaroo which was my only pet unfortunately. They accepted the trade and once I had the red panda I traded the person who said they were trading a frost dragon, they then said "get scammed lol" and then left...
I've been a fan for a long time, I followed all the steps and I haven't won a single giveaway yet. If you read this, I hope you pick me as one of the winners (if theirs more than one), I'll be pretty shocked if u choose me because as I said, haven't ever won one of these things.
