I have not played since Wings of Liberty about 13 years ago. Was getting pretty good at Terran before I quit gaming for a long time. Everything changed so I'm glad I came across this on my first search because the detailed explanations during the matches are on point. Good job! Thank you sharing all this and even the attached build steps list. 😂 This video is a one stop shop to get jump started or get serious with Terran!
actually I'm in the same situation ^^ I don't know why I quit playing but I started watching sc2 matches a few years later and had no idea what all those units were like liberators and those mines and stuff. 'That ain't my Starcraft anymore, back in my days we didn't need fancy stuff like that. It's was bio and tanks and 45 minutes of turtle'. Now I come back 10 years later and the game changed very drastically. And I'm going to get into it again.
I've played around 100 games with the BO from episode 1 and 2 and it brought me to 2500mmr. I lost and won an equal amount of games, but I feel it's really important that you do quite a lot of games with the same BO just to get the hang of the macro - especially after 10 minutes on 3 or more bases - it get's kinda crazy and I feel overwhelmed a lot of times, but practice does make it less "hectic" in a sense. I still have plenty of buildings that I forgot to hotkey and therefore never use, or have bases with way to many or way to little amount of workers on them, but I honestly think those issues going to resolve themselfs once you get more and more comfortable with what you are doing. I basically feel like time slows down in a sense if you do something over and over again. 10 minute matches felt super fast at the beginning for me, now not so much anymore. I'm now gonna try to move on to those new 3 BO and go from there. It's so much fun playing this game again. Loosing, is fun, too.
I like your video soooo much, TVP are always the stressful match I play with, but you describe it so detail and play with relax. you really give me a new perspective for TVP style.

That first game was so satisfying. Im just barely starting to get my TvZ down where I can calmly push and somewhat do some spreadies when I need to, but I"m obsessed with this siege/slow push style. Games where I manage to pull it off make me feel so in control.

i love how Terran macro works. Just infrastructure laid out, workers building/laying various buildings, production buildings pumping out units in streams. I'm a Zerg main but i've been playing just Terran for the last few months and its been hard to learn but an awesome time.

Why do Jared's games in Diamond 3 look easier than my plat 3 games? Where is my guy doing 12 hatch into double overlord followed by no queens, 13 minute slow banes! 🤣.
It's always really hard for me to say someone is definitively smurfing unless they're just really strong in most facets of the game because lower level players have wildly different strengths and weaknesses.
yeah general rule if you feel "damn this opponent is good at X" is assume they're messing up elsewhere and if you push on through and fight hard you still have a good shot!
im maxing by 12-13 minutes with 3-3 finishing and still cant seem to figure out how im losing so badly to zergs. Can't WAIT for your new upcoming Terran bronze to gm on your stream! (no that this one is bad ofc, but im always down for new terran b2gm content!)
I'd definitely advise hitting timing attacks rather than just maxxing out and taking too long to fight. Clearing creep and keeping the Zerg from having too much time macroing up can massively up your winrates in that matchup. Terran B2GM should be starting in about 1.5 months so see you there!

bad luck mate! Make sure you watch your replays and just focus on what you can do better in your build and macro cycles and you can still progress even whilst losing. Once stim and shields is done with some medivacs you can usually stim out and surprise the stalkers and kill a bunch of them if they don't react super fast
Question: Can't you just drop a Ghost Academy when you scout lurkers instead of more factories for tanks? Or is this considered too advanced ? (Also, Thank you for the guides man!)
Nothing's too advanced! You can always get good at any style you're motivated to improve at. It definitely does require more practice than siege tanks, but the ghosts also can EMP the energy off spellcasters so it is a fantasticly well rounded lategame counter. If you're motivated go straight to start learning ghosts. My general advice is tanks are easier so just rely on them until masters+ but of course each player can make their own decisions on this
Need help. What can i do in tvt when opponent turtle up and mass bc? I go your build tvt I massed vikings. That worked ab bit. Then he swiched in mass banshee with speed. Vikings cant reach them... Bio cant kill is Basis with pf and tanks. I walk out. Bc or banshee go in my Basis.turrets they ignore
lost two games vs zerg tonight. killed some drones with hellion drop and pushed with marine tank but my macro sucked. watching the build order again and making sure i follow the fundamentals again, because i feel like i've devolved into just doing random shit again and its hurting me
Have a question. Midgame, sometimes minerals pull way ahead even with really good production. Was wondering, is it viable to build 2 orbitals for supply instead of supply depots? I figure the mules can help pay for themselves, and later they can fly in as full bases. Is the reason this isn't done just due to the time delay of needing supply?
Gotta say, Trogdor was really good for a first fight. That guy was impressive but he may have needed to transition earlier to win air superiority... but fuck my opinion cause I ain't as good (though having BLs just harrass split Terran units and push them into lurker camps would be tasty). Regardless, other than that he creep spreaded and macroed like a champ

also, do you have a series where you explain how to react to common cheeses when you scout them from each race? like double or tripple proxy-rax, blink stalker all-ins, nydus swarm host rushes etc?
Around the 15 or 16 minute mark is when your main completely mined out. I think it's more worthwhile to build a new CC for the added protection of being able to morph it into a Planetary. However, if you're in a money starve situation, you can do it to save money. The Orbital in the main is still contributing with scans and MULES drops, so it's not like it's a useless building.
Its a good tutorial until he INSTANTLY REACTS to harassments. Like nah mate, I can't do that. lol good watch though. Pretty much confirmed I will never leave Silver/Gold tho.

Off racing...Just start playing Random on the ladder. You'll get used to all 3 races quick enough =)

I’ve lost to every Protoss I played tonight in plat 1 😂 I believe 4 losses in a row. Keep dying to being contained by blink stalkers early in the game

Pig why when you select the army you can see the movments camands and when i select the army i just see the steampack comand?
Go to options and deselect the simple command box
