- This is a great original Ford Motor Company promotional and educational film. The original catalog description provided by the Ford Motor Company reads as follows:
Shows the varied industries and plant manufacturing facilities of the Ford Motor Company operating in Brazil, Kentucky, West Virginia and Michigan. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Ford Motor Company was likely the most vertically integrated automaker at that time. Henry Ford was so distrustful of vendors and suppliers that he built factories (and purchased groves of hardwood trees and rubber plantations) to produce his own components. In Ford magazine advertisements it was mentioned that vertical integration eliminated the profit of suppliers, thus making the Ford car (the finished product) cheaper for the customer. In reality, it was not necessarily cheaper for FoMoCo to manufacture its own components. Third party suppliers who concentrated on a limited number of components could often be more efficient at production than FoMoCo. The River Rouge plant in Dearborn Michigan was vertically integrated to the extent that raw materials entered and finished cars exited. After Henry Ford passed in 1947, his three grandsons made numerous changes... including using more third party suppliers.
Wrlk thought out talking points!
Henry Ford didn't want any interruptions in his ability to produce cars...
Thanks for providing a very interesting video.

The source of the Ford car?
Silly question!
The Factory!!
My source seems to be the lumber mill!
@@kensmithgallery4432 Hahaha 😆
I sure wish Ford still had integrity like this. I try to buy parts at the dealer for an older vehicle and they shrug their shoulders and say that anything over ten years old is no longer supported by Ford parts. Throwaway junk.
Just got genuine Ford parts for my 24 year old Ranger from my local dealer so hard to say. Thanks for watching!
It has always been a 10 year deal on parts....
I don’t know, you all want cheaper and cheaper vehicles and then want more and more expensive support. BTW, I went to the ford website check availability of parts for a 25 year old econoline van. Do they have everything? No. Do they have lots of parts available? Yes. Need an ax pump, brake cylinder, starter, steering gear? All in stock.
😊
@@vernonslone8627i think only toyota still have parts over ten years. In some cases reach out twentyfive years..I have a small toyota ep91 starlet and still parts are available from this 1996 model available
The basis of the "Arsenal of Democracy" that would help win WWII 13 years later.
Sadly, our country is no longer capable to manufacture such victories. JJS
I understand how you feel.
You can thank the American buying public for that....
Nonsense
Well, whatever Ford is doing today, Ford reeks.
Thanks for watching!
