- Sometimes it is unavoidable to get those dirty eggs, no matter how you strive to keep your coup clean. I thought that I would share with you how I wash those eggs and put on a second bloom. This was a hard Filming day, some eggs were broken. Thank you for joining us here @muchadoaboutsomething

Oh wow thank you for sharing this so good to know. My husband's sister has chickens and brings us her eggs. We have been leaving them in the crates on the counter top until we eat them. We wash them in cold water and use the float method. You have so many helpful things to share. I felt so bad for you when you dropped the eggs. Bless your heart. I don't think I would have been that calm about that. 😅

I have since learned that it is not advised, Yes but I do know folks who have successfully done it.
So how long can i leave the eggs out on the counter that i do not have to wash.
And also if I am giving someone a dozen eggs that I have rebloomed is that something that I need to disclose or since it does not really matter they're in the refrigerator so they should just be the same right?
I find the eggs with the second bloom can stay on the counter as long as I leave ones with the natural bloom on. It really depends on how hot or cool the room is as to how long eggs last on the counter. I refrigerate them so they'll last longer. I never disclose that they have been rebloomed or washed, but if you want to share that, it is up to you.
Can you hatch these eggs after re-blooming them?
No.
