Deidre Opp hi there, I use premium tissue paper that I bought online from Nashville Wraps. It comes with only one fold in it so that’s how I get a smooth look.

Hi Emma, I bought it from joann.com, it's called a rotary cutter. It's made for quilting and came with the self-healing mat.

Can I use yarn
Alyssa Yabut you can definitely make some tassels with yarn, but it’s probably not going to work the same as this tutorial.

The paper to make the garlands? It's called premium tissue paper, and I got it from Nashville Wraps.
Can we use chart paper
Habib Ullah sure, I don’t see any reason that chart paper would not work. Probably just cut it to size before making your strips.

Would A4 paper work?
Maybe for small tassels. But it would really depend on how thin the paper is, it should b as thin as tissue paper.
