I think the chairs are stunning and, in my opinion, don't clash that bad with the sofa at all. I think if you added a large white or striped beige linen throw just hanging decoratively on the sofa, it will blend in well with the chairs. It's not too much of a clash that it can't be balanced with some textiles. â€

Loving the video, new clothes, new chairs. I wouldn't worry about the chair leg colour. You have a similar darker streak in the flooring and it goes very well with the legs. You could always put a chocolate shade vase on the table, or perhaps include some darker brown branches/contorted hazel type of thing as an accent amongst the Gypsophila, to tie the colours together. Love seeing it all come together and can't wait now to see the black room in all its glory!
You could get a complementary throw in the same colour as the dining chairs to put over the back cushions of the sofa, that would look nice and blend in well. xx
The black room is going to be gorgeous when you've styled it all up - looking forward to seeing it all done. I love your dining table and chairs too and the fact they all tuck underneath out of the way when not in use! I doubt you'll notice the slight colour difference with the sofa as time goes on - they tie in together nicely. Barney is such a sweetie đ„°
Loving the black room - but you are so going to need to dust every few days - my friend did something similar with a dark green - itâs stunning but dust shows so quickly
I find that when you have 2 slightly clashing colours (sofa and chairs). Choose some artwork or cushions that have both those colours in to bring it all together.

great video Freya the house looks amazing, just a little tip for you or anyone else who has issues with flies, fill a zip lock bag with water and add some coins to it. fasten securely and place near surfaces the flies do not like this at all and will disappear. the Black room looks stunning love the dining chairs. xxx

Love the dining chairs and to be honest the legs look nice against the dining table and in the main space. Think if they were black it would look too harsh.
I recon if you add some artwork behind the dining table and maybe a coloured/ patterned neutral throw on the sofa it will change the dynamics of the tones quite dramatically. Could always introduce that olive green into the rest of the room as I say with a throw cushion or throw which will help distract your eye on the tones.
Agree on the vase. The space is huge so you could afford to do something taller or wider. Having the artwork above will make a huge difference, you could go with a quite moody landscape which could pull in green tones and a variety of the creams which will help.
Always love your videos and catching up. Your home is absolutely stunning! I have always had a soft spot for Victorian homes so love the character youâve added back into the property and just in general the overall aesthetics. Canât wait for the next one x
House start to looks stunning ! I think sofa and chair colours matches nicely, they are not too matchy. Like in a nature, little intersting variation to the eye.
You should go with Tom's suggestion of the art work on the wall next to the dining table, very arty fantastic idea, would look pretty special, as a focal point, and bring the area together.

Just a suggestion re the sofa...if the covers are removable I'd get it professionally dyed a different colour....olive green would be great and tie in your island ..also ground the space. Anyhoo, your home your choice. X

Add a throw to your sofa and you can then tie it in with the dining chairs....maybe in an Aztec-style print in rich earthy tones. Chairs are fabulous. x

Hi, did you know the Emma Bridgewater studio and factory is in Stoke. It only took me an 1hr 20mins from Stockport. Had a lovely afternoon tea and a fab mooch around the studio area. There's also a large area which sells slight seconds for massively reduced prices. It's well worth a run out there.
