മലയാളിയുടെയും മലയാള ഭാഷയുടെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ നഷ്ടമേതെന്ന് ചോദിച്ചാൽ ഞാൻ ഒരറ്റ ഉത്തരമേ നൽകൂ onv.. സാറിന്റെ വിയോഗം എന്നേ പറയാനൊക്കൂ ഇത്രയും എളിമയോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു കവിയെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല onv.. അല്ലാതെ നമുക്ക് വേറേഒരാളെയും ചൂണ്ടികാട്ടാനില്ല ഒരാളെയും തന്റെ തൂലികയിലൂടെ കുറ്റം പറയുകയോ മറ്റേതെങ്കിലും രീതിയിൽ വേദനിപ്പിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാത്ത ഒരു പാവം മനുഷ്യൻ പകൃതിയേ അതിലെ ജാലകത്തേയും ഇത്രയേറെ സ്നേഹിച്ച ഒരു കവി ഇനി മലയാള ഭാഷയിൽ പിറാക്കാനുമില്ല..... ഗുരുവേ പ്രണാമം

എനിക്ക് ഏറ്റവും പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട കവി, സാറിനോട് ഒരുവട്ടം സംസാരിക്കുവാനും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കയ്യക്ഷരത്തിൽ സ്നേഹപൂർവ്വം ഒ എൻ വി എന്ന് എഴുതിക്കിട്ടുവാനും എനിക്ക് ഭാഗ്യമുണ്ടായി.

2007-ൽ ഓ എൻ വിക്ക്‌ ജ്ഞാനപീഠം അവാർഡ്‌ കിട്ടിയപ്പോൾ ഉയർന്ന സംശയങ്ങൾക്ക്‌ മറുപടി പറയാതെയാണ്‌ കവി 2016-ൽ വിട വാങ്ങിയത്‌! അതായത്‌ “ഇനിയും മരിക്കാത്ത ഭൂമി, നിന്നാസന്ന മൃതിയിൽ നിനക്കാത്മശാന്തി! ഇത്‌ നിന്റെ (എന്റെയും) ചരമശുശ്രൂഷയ്ക്ക്‌ ഹൃദയത്തിലെന്നേ കുറിച്ച ഗീതം....” ‘ഭൂമിക്കൊരു ചരമഗീതം’ എന്ന പേരിൽ ഓ എൻ വി കുറുപ്പ്‌ എഴുതിയ കവിതയിൽ നിന്നുള്ളതാണ്‌ ഈ വരികൾ !
എന്നാൽ ഈ കവിത വർഷങ്ങ്ൾക്കു മുമ്പ്‌ കവി ചുണ്ടയിൽ പ്രഭാകരൻ (തൃശൂർ) രചിച്ച “ഒരു ചരമക്കുറിപ്പ്‌” എന്ന കവിതയുടെ മോഷണമാണെന്ന ആരോപണത്തെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ ഒ.എൻ.വി. കുറുപ്പ്‌ പ്രതികരിക്കാനില്ലെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ഒഴിഞ്ഞു മാറുകയാണുണ്ടായത്‌, അന്നു .
1980കളിൽ താൻ കോഴിക്കോട്‌ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന കാലത്താണ്‌ പ്രസ്‌തുത കവിത എഴുതുന്നതെന്ന്‌ പ്രഭാകരൻ ലേഖനത്തിൽ പറയുന്നു. അക്കാലത്ത്‌ ബ്രണ്ണൻ കോളജിൽ അധ്യാപകനായിരുന്ന ഒ.എൻ.വിയുമായി വലിയ അടുപ്പമായിരുന്നു. സന്തതസഹചാരിയായിരുന്ന പ്രശസ്‌ത എഴുത്തുകാരൻ പുനത്തിൽ കുഞ്ഞബ്‌ദുള്ളയാണ്‌ ഒ.എൻ.വിയടക്കമുള്ള എഴുത്തുകാരെ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തിയത്‌. പല കവിയരങ്ങുകളിലും ഒ.എൻ.വി, സുഗതകുമാരി, കടമ്മനിട്ട തുടങ്ങിയവർക്കൊപ്പം തനിക്ക്‌ കവിത അവതരിപ്പിക്കാൻ അവസരം ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നതായും പ്രഭാകരൻ പറയുന്നു. ഒ.എൻ.വിയെ ഗുരുവിനെ പോലെയാണ്‌ അന്നു കണ്ടിരുന്നത്‌. എന്നും കണ്ണൂരിലേക്കുള്ള ട്രെയിൻ യാത്രയിൽ സഹയാത്രികനായിരുന്നു ഒ.എൻ.വി.
അങ്ങനെയാണ്‌ യാത്രയിലൊരു ദിവസം തന്റെ കവിതയുടെ കയ്യെഴുത്തുകോപ്പി ഒ.എൻ.വിക്കു വായിക്കാൻ കൊടുത്തത്‌. കാര്യമായ അഭിപ്രായമൊന്നും പറയാതെ പിറ്റേന്ന്‌ ഒ.എൻ.വി കവിത തിരിച്ചു തന്നപ്പോൾ വിഷമമായി. അധികം താമസിയാതെ ഒ.എൻ.വിയെ ട്രെയിനിൽ കാണാതായി. അതേക്കുറിച്ചന്വേഷിച്ചപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹം തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തേക്ക്‌ തിരിച്ചുപോയതായറിഞ്ഞു. ഒരു വാക്കുപോലും പറയാതെ ഒ.എൻ.വി. പോയതിൽ വിഷമം തോന്നിയെങ്കിലും ഞെട്ടിയത്‌ അധികം താമസിയാതെ മാതൃഭൂമിയിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച ‘ഭൂമിക്കൊരു ചരമഗീതം’ എന്ന കവിത വായിച്ചപ്പോഴാണെന്ന്‌ പ്രഭാകരൻ പറയുന്നു. തന്റെ കവിതയിൽ അദ്ദേഹം വരുത്തിയത്‌ ചില്ലറ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ മാത്രം.
ഇതിനു ഒരിക്കലും തൃപ്തികരമായ ഒരു മറുപടി കിട്ടിയിട്ടില്ല.
ഇന്റർനെറ്റ് എന്ന “മഹാവിപത്ത് ” വഴി ഈ രഹസ്യം ഒരു നാൾ പുറത്തു വരുമെന്നു ഒ. എൻ.വി ഒരിക്കലും കരുതിയിക്കാൻ സാധ്യയതയില്ല!
