    I've watched close to 3 dozen CZcams videos on anaerobic respiration so far, and you are only the 3rd person who got it right; all the others equated fermentation with anaerobic respiration.

    Hi thanks for the precise video. To your last sentence. You said, P. aeruginousa produces dinitrogen but does not get a positive reaction for Nitrite. It could be due to the fact that not all the genes that are responsible for denitrification (starting from nitrate to nitrogen) are present. It could be that their reaction starts from NO (nitric oxide) to nitrogen and thus you see the presence of gas in the durum tubes. IN other words, they might lack nitrate reductase (which reduces nitrate to nitrite). This means many be that particular species of psedomonas aeruginosa does not start from Nitrate. It could start the reaction from let´s say NO-> N2o->N2.
