I just finished a very long and rough journey in school, passed my dissertation and graduated with honors. I was really surprised that my parents were not excited for me. They randomly accused me of being showy :' ( when I haven't even announced it to more than 4 people. I didn't expect that from my own parents. I guess CZcams hear my sadness, and your video came to me at the right time. Thank you for the message and encouragement.

One thing I'd add (inspired by inverse of what you said) is: if someone shares a win with you and you're not in the mindset to amp them up, you could give them advice like "I'm so happy for you, I just am not in a place to mirror your energy." so they don't get disgruntled like you and many of us did when being on the receiving end of not receiving the mirroring.
