You know that you are in trouble when you are playing against the person who gave the name of the racket you are using! simple a really legend Timo .
hahaha i thought the same thing!
"is khanak really using a timoboll alc to go against timo boll?!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣that true 👍
😅😅😅
😂
And his shoes 😃
40 years old. Unbelievable. What a legend! My favorite player. Hopefully his body won’t betray him any time soon. He still needs to play next olympics.
I believe even 41
with covid and any luck, he'll be in an ICU before then.
@@aj2228 why would he end up in ICU from COVID? his health and fitness are optimal lowest risk category
@@sk91hkwn he's geriatric, and there's omicron now.
@@aj2228 u mad?!
21 years ago Timo won his first European Championships medal, and 17 years ago he won his first World Championships medal. It's incredible that after these years we see 40 y.o. fighter who is still on a podium in each events and olympic games, great respect Timo!
What a legend. Almost won every long rally with this pain.
What happened?
@@gio5275 injured before the game
What a fight from Timo Boll!! Injured but still manages to win
omg no, what happened???
In the last serve return, the short push was beyond world-class!
😂, that was one hell of a short push.
he used that "last-game" trick for many times, like 2017 against Gaoyuan Lin
@@mindrover777 And with a feint hehe
absolutely right!
5:49 wow you can feel Timo's pain in that scream, kinda got me a little worried there
Hope that everything will be ok with Timo. What a legend!
Kanak Jha's passion was infectious at this tournament. I cheered my ass off for him from the crowd. Keep going Kanak!! You're a real inspiration!
Kanak has really come a long way he took a set against ma long in his first wttc and was almost going to take another. He is one of the best out there .
Какое всё таки сокровище мы имеем в виде Тимо для настольного тениса. Так хочется, чтобы он и дальше играл на высочайшем уровне. Великий спортсмен.
Timo has the best sportmanship ever. He's a gentleman of table tennis, like Roger Federer, a true legend. Thanks to God, we can see him in our days. He stopped the youngster from USA in his style.
Crazy fight by TImo. WOW what a legend
I watched this match in person. It was legendary watching Timo play through being hurt!
That was a fine match against one of the greats of all time, Kanak. Well done!!
#3:34 You can clearly see Timo working through the pain. What a legend!
Wow that looks so painful, what a beast to keep on playing.
Injured? Oh no!
What a legend!
You are SUPER!
WE ALL LOVE YOU!
What a legend Timo is. Best of luck for the semifinal!
What a legend, I first saw him is when he vs Kong Linghui, which was really long time ago.
Go Go Go, Timo, You are my hero
Experience over youth! What a game! Great Timo!
Thats not just experience, he is allaround better player now. Its Timo u are talking about, not Karakashevich, He Zhi Wen or Ni Xia Lian.
Yes finally, hopefully Timo is ok
hope timo can soon recover from the injury. I am his fan for many years, this might have been his best chance to won the wttc in his career of more than 20 years. (though it's still hard to beat FZD even if he is 100% healthy)
looks like abdominal muscle strain. thats out of this world how handicapped he looks. and still manages to win with adapting and playing completely limited. a masterpiece!
ΟΗ ΝΟ!!! How did he get that?? Did it happen during the match or did he start it like that??
@@loukas371 I think before
@@loukas371 6:54
@@yitaoyu5679Ironic since he got a walkover before. Really hoping on Timo to take the championship but with this injury it seems very unlikely, even if he makes the final :/
@@arlentan yeah I really thought he was lucky but now to look back I think good fortune always comes with a price. I really hope he can make it to the finals
This was so hard to watch due to Timo's pain. Powering throught that and still winning the match, he definately hasn't lost his iron will during his long career. Very very well deserved win. I hope he'll be able to play the semi. I'd love to see him advane to the final, but it'll be tough.
Timo is such a legend, respect from China
Timo Boll is such an Inspiration and also a super sympatic person
TIMO ALL THE WAY TO THE FINAL!
After two decades, Timo is still rolling forward, incredible!
Timo is a true fighter🥺
Please position the main camera properly. Ideally at one of the corners where you already seem to have a camera. I realize advertisers and sponsors bring in money, but sometimes you need to realize that short term money is nothing compared to what is good for our beloved sport of table tennis. Please do the right thing.
Amazing Game. Congrats to Timo
Two inspiring things I've seen in this match.
1. The first American since 1959 playing in the quarterfinals of the World Championships satisfying the home crowd in Houston.
2. Timo Boll winning a decisive victory even with injuries and only 60% his best.
Absolute legend! Even with a B game due to some injury, he still manages to overcome this! Mad respect!
BrawoTimo za postawę mimo kontuzji - gratuluję wspaniałej formy!!!
Timo will be remained in our hearts. He is the only one after Jan ove waldner to keep Chinese player's on their toes. About Kanak jha I must say he has the bright future 👍🏽
Congratulations Timo! keep winning.
i bet 75% of people will be supporting Timo to win this, 22 %for FZD, 2 %for Truls and 1 %for LJK
still kanak jha made history reaching quarters . first american male in 60 years
Was so happy. This made me so happppyyyy. Get some more experience m boy. One thing I noticed about watching many Timo matches is he learns how his opponents play so fast. He sits there.. watches.. and nothing surprises him twice although his expression never changes hahaha Love it
Timo, du bist der beste Spieler der Welt! Weiter, immer weiter! Danke dir vielmals!
Timo!!! What a player! Massive respect for this legend. Time n again he proves that age is just a number.
What a Great Player !! The best of 20.Years TT.
Super Timo! Weiter gehts. Wir sind Stolz auf Dich.
Timo man - you are God !! … what a come back - what a game !!Love you bro - go for the gold !!
He’s not God, please let’s not get carried away
Congratulations Timo!!!! What a phenomenal match👍👍👍
Legendary love for table tennis
40 year old and with stomach pain, Boll, how did you do this? You are a legend
Timo was already a legend, now he is also a hero.
Really really hope he'll recover in time!
He is a living Legend!
respect to Timo Boll.
Okay this was one of those matches I wanted both to win LOL. But now it's Timo all the way! Do it for us old folks Timo!
😂let's go.....
Amazing Boll! Better quality and power than last few years. Unbelievable!
Temos que parabenizar esse grande Mesatenista, com a idade que está jogando em altíssimo ritmo.
Прекрасный чемпионат, великолепные матчи!
Just amazing, bravo Timo.Hope he recovers for SF.
Doesn't matter anyways. But will be good match.
Outstanding performance... with injury
Truly existing legend.
Legende.
Timo Boll play is incredible, even in pain!
Great Sportsman.. congrats
Great game from both players
Bolls backhand is much better than 10 or 25 years before. He is a legend now - with the age of 40!
So happy for Timo. What a man.
Mad respect for Timo, 40 years old and still playing like a champ that he is.
Well, Timo ist the best table tennis player of germany ever. And: I've met him. Very kind and modest.
Congrats to Timo! Great effort by Kanak who still needs improvement to win these big matches!
Legend Timo!
Timo & Jan Ove...the legends!!...hope Moregaard in 2 or 3 years can follow them...
Great fight, Kanak!
I love Timo.
Come on!Timo!
It is unimagineable that 40 years old timo win! he is real legend
congratulation Timo from Germany
Experience make perfect
What a fighter. Respect. But will he be able to play the halve finale?
He said hes is working with his doctors on it. He said he will try to find a way to play in the semis
And he will face another youngster
@@irwankrisnawan905 As we know in the meantime, it was too much. What a pity, what could have happend if he Timo would have been in his best shape?
@@Miguel53de It will be close game, for my personal opinion Timo will win with his experience

Timo Legend Boll
Dear WTT,
Here's an idea: Why don't you throw the side-view camera in the garbage where it belongs?
And while you're at it, throw the person in charge of that idea in it too.
Sincerely,
A fantastic player. Really, The age isn't a problem for him.
I love Timo!!champion~~
Props to Jha for putting up a good fight!
Bravo pour ce jeune américain. Très content que Timo Boll est gagné.
Timo is a talent and a hard worker! You didn't sell out for money like a talented European youth! You have been tempered by the generation of Waldner, Schlager, Persson, Roskopf and powerful Chinese players. You showed what real table tennis is!
Go Timo !!!!
Well played Timo! But plz, don´t skip the part when Kanak got the yellow card. 6:18 ???
Umpire called out Kanak going for the towel outside of breaks. Said he was "wasting time" and had warned him before about it.
不容易,运气也是不错的!
go Timo for 10 more years :)
Timo hurt himself during the point at 3:30. That first FH down the line he paused after he hit it.
To me, he didn't look well from the very beginning and something looked off. A healthy Timo Boll wouldn't have let this kid win a single game, let alone two.
So, my bet is that he injured himself warming up or training before the match.
He played with the injury the whole week - just in that game it got worse - got it from an interview after the game...
@@tomg1445 Thank you for the additional info!
@@MohamedFathyOsman Based on the other reply, sounds like you're correct. :)
Glückwunsch Timo. Tolle Leistung. Aber auch sein Gegner wird in Zukunft bestimmt noch viel Erfolg haben.
Wow I haven't followed table tennis in a while but I used to all the time. I can't remember the last time we had a world class player here in the United States. If Jha is playing Boll he must be pretty damn good.
Legenda👏👏👏
yes, Legend is still on TOP level.
Timo and Jan-Ove Waldner are the best players in history of european table tennis.
Gatien/Persson: Am I a joke to you?
And Werner Schlager!World Champion 2003 in Paris.
Jörg Rosskopf.
Cristina ronalda
Sehrschon lehrer Timo🌹👋
Also, he is Emperor.
Everyone sleeping on my man kanak jha carrying the US. I hope he can get better in thr future since he is pretty young. Timo boll is a legend though, I learn from his game as a fellow lefties
Timo!
What a chance for the US to have an American player in the Final 4! Such a shame Kanak couldn't go 1 more round! Kudos to Timo, but what an opportunity the US had, especially with Timo in pain
Dont get over your head here. Kanak never had a Chance. Timo wouldve swept the floor with him if he wasnt injured. Still won comfortably Despite that.
That last receive by boll is pure class. Sadly these short receives are now lost with all the players trying to flick as much as possible. Waldner used it to great effect and samsonov as well, boll is the last man standing I guess.
Don’t try and contain the beast inside Timo Bill as even when he’s cornered he becomes far more deadly. The Best of all time.
ボル選手凄すぎ。
Like i wished, he is on the podium. Will he go further ?
