- Welcome back to Third Age Total War. Isengard with the help from Rhun is attacking the Iron Hills. The helpless dwarves send messengers all through the land, but only one Kingdom will help answer their call for aid. The Kingdom of Arnor! Arnor sends an strong army to aid the dwarves in a time of need. Men and Dwarves will forge a great alliance that will stand against any Evil in Middle Earth.

Why do I block out the Mini-Map with annotations for Sub battle replays?
I block it out because the Mini-Map gives away who sent in the battle replay. And in most cases whoever sends in the battle replay wins the battle. So I block it to keep it a surprise :D

PS: Try DaC Dol Amroth, Rohan or Variags of Khand. They have charge bonuses of 11,12 or even 13 with their cav.

Amazing. 30k subscribers. I remember the times where i came to your videos 5 hours after they been released and seeing 20-30 comments. Now, it's 30 minutes and there are already 20-30 comments. I don't think this scenario is that far-fetched. This might be set during the Fourth Age, some 14 years after the Fall of Barad-dur. A remnant of Isengard has allied with an Easterling kingdom to destroy the Kingdoms of Dale and Erebor. King Bard II of Dale and King Thorin III Stonehelm send messengers to King Elessar Telcontar of the Reunited Kingdom informing him about Easterlings and large orcs bearing the white hand of Saruman amassing beyond the Carnen, and he sends a force. The Easterlings and Uruk-hai attack, scattering every force sent their way, and besiege the Iron Hills. A force of Gondorians manage to slip through the Easterling and Uruk-hai lines, and safely enter the halls of the Dwarves. The Dwarves then decide to rally out and battle the Easterlings upon the feet of the Iron Hills, Gondorians join them, the Uruk-hai join the Easterlings, and ta dah!
Cav isn't nerfed in third age, the dwarves just have the best heavy infantry of the game. Don't mess with the rohirims and the elves. You just took the worst cav of the game with gondor cav.

Nah this scenario aint far fetched, yes it was not in movies. But Arnor and the realms of the dwarves are just north of Isengard.. And Rhun is like little northeast of mordor. so rhun would do some traveling west.. But i think during the Lord of the Rings movie the Easterlings attacked the dwarves in the north while mordor was attacking gondor

I feel Rhun wasted his cav. The only way to beat dwarves is to charge them in the backs with cav. His elite army is still less elite than the Dwarves so he's loosing the inf battle either way.

I tried to spend my cav the best way possible, I was trying to get the dwarvern general, if I did the dwarves would of been easier to defeat
Mozilla561 I bet if you charged a full unit of swan knights in the side of that general he probably would not die. Those Kazad Dum guards got like 30 defense or something crazy like that.
I think you should ahve brought a lot more tribesmen. It would have allowed you to exspose their flanks a lot more for cav charges. Even though your 'rim guys are pretty good you are never going to beat the dwarves at quality. They are kinda overpriced tbh.
Dwarves are kinda OP. Third Age is more designed for singleplayer.

Yo P.A. -- if I may call you that --, another amazing battle bro! I bit my finger nails to bits XD
But hey, just something about the cavalry. You said in TATW it's not so strong. Well, maybe relatively speaking against MTW, but I have won many battles in which only the cavalry did the job. So if you would like a tip...here goes. (anyone disagreeing, tell me and teach me more from TATW ;) )
Obviously it's folly to charge spearmen, especially pikemen. But heavy infantry too. However, even with spearmen, the best way to deal with them is as following:
Have your infantry go into melee with the enemy's infantry, and make sure they are in a sollid fight. Your cavalry must be out of range, about three units wide (square-formation). If you form up your cavalry (make them halt for a few seconds to reform), they attack ''in-formation'', which already boosts their attack. And the trick is the timing.
When your army is seemingly 'slightly losing', the enemy gets boastful and thinks to have won. But right then you launch your cavalry assault, make sure your cavalry is still in-formation for the best effect. Then you not only have a strong(er) cavalry assault, but you do extra damage to the enemy's morale as they did not expect this. And what is more devastating to an army than losing its morale? And if you get to kill the general in the attack...well, the tide of the battle is turned in your favour ;D

Rhun REALLY shouldn't have invested in all that cavalry....
Some nice tactical play for the forces of good. But the evil forces started well and didn't follow up on it. The cavalry attacks completely halted the Dwarves advance, which create a large gap between you and Jackiefish. That would have been the time to attack and divide your forces whilst Jackiefish fended off the cavalry attack. Still a nice battle.
