It sure is, D&LN 7 has been operating since May. It has taken 13 years for GVRR to completed the rebuild on this engine. The locomotive is in the engine rotation now along side Edison & Torch Lake. Previously, Torch Lake was running last. Currently it's been D&LN 7.
It's a mixture of colors: Boiler: Gray & Turquoise. Cab: Olive Green & Red Roof. Tender: Olive Green, Gold, & Red. Other Parts: Olive Green, Gold Trim, & Red Trim. D&M 8 is next in line to be rebuilt.
Moronic people, the kids are kinda understandable but the Adults have no excuse. The only Adult that had any sense was the one that actually stopped their little stampede and yelled at them, justifiably so. But you're 100% correct, a Gate would be the end-all to the idiocy.
Ok thanks. I didn't know if the gray and turquoise color had an actually name. Do you work at the roundhouse? Is really like the gold wheels. Any idea what D&M 8 will look like once its restored and will it carry passengers like the other three trains? If there were any blueprints for the D&LN 7, I think they would be cool to see.

It's the whistle she had when she was restored for the museum in 1929. Similar to the one she was built with.
It's too bad they changed the whistle because this whistle really gave her personality. The new whistle sounds too much like Torch Lake's.

What is the exact color of it? The blueish gray one because it looks amazing. Is the Detroit and Mackinac one the next one to be restored?

The Gray Turquoise color has an actual name. It's called Russian Iron.
