Skoda/VW/ Tata safari, Harrier top variant costs around 25lacs to 30 lacs in Karnatak. Where as Honda Evelate gives almost all needed features in 20 lacs and based on city. I preferred Elevate over all cars falls within 20 lacs. Going to get delivery today.

Gncap has introduced side impact thats good move, only problem is there are two more parameters are jot there 1) top impact ( toppling of cars many highways or tree falling very comman during traffic in blr) , 2) Moose test ie if some annimals comes in front of yiu while driving..( suvs generaly dont do good in this test)

First GNCAP has rigid their parameters after 2022. And I think Bolero Neo could achieve 3 to 4 Stars Easily if ESC, Rear/Side Airbags and Safety Belt Reminder (SBR) for rear were installed in it. It achieved 1 Star just because its body Metal and material is strong enough.

15-16 saal se gaadi chla rha hun. 1 hi bada accident hua ,on delhi-jaipur highway. Gaadi ki speed 60-70 k aspas hogi on impact.

Virtus and slavia crash tests were done on top models and was paid crash test

GNCAP is currently only testing Indian cars as other countries have stopped giving them their cars due to corruption issues in GNCAP

Yes indeed, since he owns a Honda Car that's why he favours Honda, he is sad with Honda Amaze ratings and trying to justify that.
He is right, as Amaze score more score then Carens but due to lake in ESC & 6 air bag which is mandatory now
Amaze scored very good 27.85/34 pts but scored 2 star because of the lack of 6 Airbags, ESP,seat belt reminders etc
FYI,New Verna scored 28.15/34 pts with UNSTABLE body shell Integrity and difference between both cars are only 0.30 pts which is very less considering amaze is very cheaper,one segment lower car..By adding the active safety features it will score a 5 star rating..
Structural rigidity of amaze is top notch..Kia Carens despite having 6 airbags, esp etc features scored 21/34 pts with unstable body shell Integrity

I dont think so , he says safety rating is different than crash rating. For eg good Brakes avoid crash. Same with ADAS that can help in Fog, tyre pressure feature checks tyre that avoid bursting. High ground clearance can make Harrier multiple overturn compare to sedan. Number of baloons will help in small speed also from injury. Biggest question is what about surface of car. What if whole truck fall on surface. As surface are not considered in crash. I remember polo used to come with single wielding no joints.
But yes agree car guru mostly recommends repeated cars like breeza nexon.

We must talk more about safe driving than build quality or stars. If a man drives a 5 star rated car recklessly and rashly at 150kmph breaking every traffic rule and crashes on the highway will he survive or is there a guarantee that others hit by him will survive because the car is 5 star rated ? Similarly will a so called unsafe car if driven carefully within 80kmph kill it's driver just because it does not have any stars ? There has been an increase in the number of accidents involving the so called strong build quality cars with 5 star rating because people have started believing that they will be safe no matter at what speed they drive. People have died driving Mercedes , BMW , Audi , Range Rover and other reputed brands all of which are rated much above Indian Brands because of rash driving. Secondly , what is the use of 5 star rating for Safari and Harrier when CZcams is full of videos of owners crying about the atrocious reliability of these cars ? Brand new Harrier Dashboard getting ripped open because the company does not know where the fault is in the car or brand new Safari stalling in the middle of the road when the proud new owner has just taken delivery , these are more serious issues which people paying 35 lakhs for these vehicles should think about other than GNCAP results. Only safe driving practices which will actually ensure that we are safe on the roads are more meaningful that these stars.
