I can only imagine how much therapeutic this whole thing is..
Even watching this is calming me. Thanks for everything you do Peter!
Stinging nettle basket's, nice!
This was so incredibly wholesome. Thank you for teaching me
Nice work. Thanks for sharing how it is done!
I really do hope to see how to make the hat soon!!!
excellent video .lovely baskets. thankyou
Love it! I'm going to try this with wineberry stems. Lots in my back garden.
fascinating.... and love the music
Hi, very nice tutorial. Thank you. Can you show how you collect materials? I'd love to see how your hat was made (if possible)
Yeah!😂❤👍
Can't wait for the next part Peter! I guess those blackberry stems could also make a pretty awesome hat if the thorns aren't too sharp
That hat I'm wearing is made out of Blackberry vines . . . it's a different weaving method which is a little more complicated though . . . to be covered in one of the later videos!
@@BroPeterick Sounds awesome! Looking forward too it 😁
We have hundreds of these vines poking through from the cow field at the bottom of our garden. Time to weave! Thanks :)
Can you harvest bramble any time ❓ It's almost end of summer for me
The vines do need to be supple and pliable enough to weave with, making spring and summer the ideal seasons . . . but for instance, sometimes in woodlands I can find lovely green vines even in the winter. Good luck!
How long does your basket last?
It will last indefinitely! Unless left out in the elements, then it might biodegrade after a while.
How long does it last? Could I make a laundry basket?
Absolutely! It will last indefinitely. Although it can be difficult to get all the thorns off fully, which could potentially damage your laundry. You might want to try weaving with the same method using another type of vinyl, like Ivy, for instance.
